All the guys that had helped me out ended up finishing the transaction via text or phone call. If he backed out he prob got a better deal somewhere else or was never really in the market for them.

Yep, just sent that to him. Next time I ask for a cell I am not going to just be like "shoot me your cell and ill respond to all this, its easier" and I am going to elaborate a bit more... Thanks guys

Depends on the context but as long as the person seems legit, that's not weird at all. I just bought a set of LCA's and we only exchanged a couple messages on here, I asked him for pics and he asked for my cell to send them to. I didn't hesitate and we continued the transaction via text.

Thats weird. As long as you weren't being creepy about it idk why he would get so paranoid

 

I mean I have done the same thing a million times and never had an issue with it, and at one point it took him like 3 days to respond, and at one point it took me like 2 days to respond so I figured text would be easier. I had like 3 buyers from the first few hours so it is not a huge deal.

 

Yeah, clearly he didn't want to buy it that badly

 

It is the weatherstripping for the top, and if I remember correctly he said he wanted them to use as spares. Apparently so

 

If anyone on here IS leery about giving out their phone number, check out google voice. I use it for all online sales except here.

 

That seems like a good alternative. The only other place that I buy/ sell locally is Facebook marketplace and I never give out my phone number for Facebook transactions. Facebook messenger is convenient enough

 

Burner phones/SIMs work too if you're a statie

 

Haha had just told Steiner this via text as well. Use my gvoice number as burner and then switch to my "car phone" which is my real cell.
