It’s been a while since I’ve been on the forum. I’ve been on 1.05 91 performance and really like it. Is 1.05.1 a recent update that I’m not aware of? Thanks.

    From Post 1......

    1.05.1 Files (Automatic only)

04B02 ECU - Updated Torque Converter tables > All gears
    04B04 ECU - Updated Torque Converter tables > gears 2 > 5
    04A60 ECU - Updated Torque Converter tables > Gears 1> 3
    04A61 ECU - Updated Torque Converter tables > Gears 3, 4

    Should I update to 1.05.1 ?

This update is only necessary if your truck experiencing characteristic "stumbling" or stuttering, "Bumpy road feeling" during low RPM (1200-2000 RPM) at low throttle and low to moderate speed (15mph - 50 mph)

Are there other updates in 1.05.1 That require me updating the ECU?
Unless your truck experiences this very specific issue, updating is not required.

Are there any special things that are necessary to do when performing this update?

Yes. After flashing the update, you will need to reset the AT and LV values in the ECU.
    Perform it this way:
    1. Flash the truck. After completion, start the truck.
    Run flash Manager P5Flash Utility
Select "Reset LV" after completion select "Reset AT"
    After completion you are finished.

    @dingel5

A note about the instruction to start truck then clear learned values. If you attempt “Reset LV” with engine running it will report “unsuccessful”. “Reset AT” will be successful either way.

Simple way: do LV and AT reset with ignition on engine off same as flashing.

It feels like “less” to me. Mat says it may feel “different” as a result of torque converter changes.

Sorry, I should have clarified... 04B04 - 87 Performance. Flashed yesterday afternoon, also cleared AT and ECU learned values. Quick drive afterwards there was a noticeable difference. Today to work, was smooth as butter. Initial highway speeds was a little 'bumpy road' feeling, but that was VERY short lived... and was probably just... a bumpy road!

I'm on 93 performance. @OVTune must've spent some time on this because it is WAY better. Very little tip in but what I'm really referring to is the drive through rush hour that has been VERY frustrating and made me damn angry every single day, until this morning. Stop go stop go for 10 miles and now the damn thing finally shifts like it should. My gf even noticed on the drive in this morning. The jerkiness, hard downshifts when pushing the pedal, even the hard downshift to 1st when coming to a stop (which was still slightly there) are all GONE. I think it still shifts too fast but with 93P there is power there at low rpm, and like I said it (down)shifts like it should now so the fast upshift is less of a bother. Let me get a couple of tanks through it 1st tho lol

will have to try the new ones another time, I'm not getting anything other than
file corrupted or wrong type when I try to write any of them. The only thing that
stands out between 1.05 and 1.05.1 to me is the extension type is now .p5f as
    opposed to .pcm

Are you a dongle user? If so, you're attempting to use the wrong files.

down at home, here at work I have the p5f files...derp!

I flashed 1.05.1 last night to 91Perf. On 1.05 I was running 91base because of the tip-in. So far on the update 91perf tip in feels the same as it did on 1.05. Planning on trying 93perf to see if I experience the different tip-in like some. I did notice on 1.05.1 it seems the power seems smoother all around.
