I’ve seen these on the forum. And contempted using them but during recovery you’ll be applying a large load to the two bolts in shear and a lot of stress will be focus at the frame horn.
    http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/DRingAnchor.shtml

You’d be a lot safer with better bolts in tension, mounted at a place with a larger area. It’s just a suggestion.

That makes sense. So, bolts that go all the way through the frame and out the other side and secured with nuts rather than bolts threaded into the captive nuts that are welded into the frame?

The mounts I linked are threaded to the nuts welded but inside the frame. If I remember correctly the nuts are on the bottom inside of the frame.

For recovery points it would be best to have them bolted or properly welded and reinforced on the bumper in tension, this also allows for the use all mounting points to the frame

Edit: you mentioned bolts going completely through the frame, it would be a little better but it would still be in shear which is something you try to avoid

Doesn’t look like much but got all the camping/wheeling stuff organized, the rtt is off the truck and mounted to a small board with wheels, super convenient I’ll try and get a pic of it soon

Just wondering, did you get new shackles when you did your rear suspension? I'm getting a set of Dakar springs and like the lift you have.

Thanks! I'm looking at new suspension options for mine has just about seen it's last days. Man does it add up real quick... I don't plan on a rtt but I do carry motorcycles from time to time so an aal is probably a good idea.

Sick build btw! You've motivated me to build some sliders (well try to anyway).

Haha yeah, it’s adds up real quick! Good luck on the sliders. Let me know if you have any questions.

If I can do it, you got it. Benefit is if you mess up you can fix it or just start over

I pulled the tire off, undid the ubolts, put a c clamp on bolt sides of the bolt that holds it together, un did the bolt, then slowly let off the c clamps, added the new AAL then reverse ordered everything else. Took about an hour to do both sides

So on the original install of the leaf pack I cut the top off the center pin to allow for the bumpstop to be mounted. Now I don’t have enough threads too add the leaf.

Gotta order a new set of center pins I’ll up grade the bump stops while I’m at it.

After playing around with some hi lift mounting ideas, I took some scrap tubing and cut up my old U bolts

Below is the general idea of how this will end up. Just gotta weld them in place.

Did you mock up anything on the outside of your rack? I've found that space under the rack is premium space for gear, so try to keep from having things hang down there and block the top N inches. We all pack differently of course, so may not be an issue for you...

Here's where I put mine: Hi-Lift on side of Bed Rack

And here's where I needed more space under the rack: Eeking Out Another Inch Under the Bed Rack

LMK if you have questions on any of this, happy to help if I can.
