I would say make friends with some local folks on TW and see if someone will help. Its not too hard to install if someone is familiar. Could be done within a day or less depending how much messing around is done. If not a shop may charge you $800 or so but just varies by shop. I recall you said 4wp thats what a guy I know was charged for his install.

I would think closer to 4-6 as @El Duderino said in reality.

just make sure you choose the set for a Tacoma 2nd gen/3rd gen I believe are the same 119 and 121. If you want adjusters 119a and 121a. If you are getting the full kit with UCA make sure to ask them to make them extended versions. 119a-EXT and 121a-ext (or minus adjusters). You may not wheel it much but its not extra so mine as well. You get another 1' of droop.

If your going with Headstrong, Downsouth Motorsports, Wheelers, Filthy motorsports or low range they will all help you pick the right setup

Josh is the man. Feel free to tell him I sent you Robert Shopshear. He was super helpful and should give you a nice forum discount. the shipping is the only part that may be so so. not surprised by 4WP. they tend to overprice things. Someone around there must be able to help you install.

and would recommend getting new UCA (long) bolts from Servco, unless you want your inner fenders cut and bent.

Sounds like you cannot wrench either. Just a heads up coilovers will need to be rebuilt around 20k miles. If you cannot at least remove them yourself you’re gonna be paying a whole a lot of money, might be better off just buying new again. Plus you’ll have the down time while they get rebuilt.

As @El Duderino mentioned.. I’d recommend an OME or 5100 kit and just get an AAL for now, when @Universal4x4 has another free shipping promo get some Dakar’s.

    What???? Rebuild every 20k miles
    Are you serious?
Sigh good thing you mentioned it now
Yes youre right i dont do cars
I was thinking buy it put it on forget about it
And itll for the life time of my truck

    If 20k miles rebuild again
Lift is out of my league
    Not worth it
And just get wheels and tires

cheaper than a shop, @El Duderino is in the ballpark, only thing I don't do is alignments...yet.

this is more than enough room.

i'm not talking about a cab mount chop, i'm talking about the mounting bolt for the upper control arms...Toyota installs them from the front bumper pushing rear...which is impossible to remove without either cutting the head off the bolt and reinstalling it from the cab, or cutting and bending your fenders.

most quality shocks are warrantied for 3yrs/36k miles (my OME BP-51s are) and if you're mainly driving on the street, you shouldn't need a rebuild for a while, and should it be needed, I know of some local options for that.

ride quality always goes up with better shocks, I wouldn't go back to 5100's or nitrochargers unless it was temporary.

in the end, do what you want. nobody else is going to drive your truck
