    I'm not sure, I've only admired a few of them a far when I was in afghanistan. They didnt have very many out there back then, most of the trucks the british had were these little landrover things that were completely open with a 240 mounted high in the back and one off the passenger side. They were tight too, but had zero protection.

    oh those tubes, yeah those are just for smoke. I thought he was asking about the bars around them, which are probably just for protecting them. the bars for rocket protection look like this. Thats a british mastiff, kind of like our MRAPS, but the cage lets them take more RPG hits.

    Yea I thought they were used for some kind of explosive purpose as well, but I was thinking more along the lines of streamers or something else more festive. :rolleyes:
