You sir scored. No worries, just a few people in here that like to "inflate" their deals (paid all cash, etc. etc.), nice work!

OP obviously knows the classic "buy an OR and upgrade the shit out of it for cheaper and you'll have a better truck" party line/dumb thing people who don't have Pros say to make themselves feel happy inside

No that's not obvious, he's new to trucks and Tacomas and may not have a full understanding of building one, all the options, his needs, etc. But, whatever you need to tell yourself bud, that right there is why people react the way they do to alot of the PRO threads/owners here on this forum.

You would be surprised to find out just how capable any taco 4x4 is right off the sales floor. Blew my mind what I could do with my stock 1st gen, even without the locker. My 2 cents is to buy an SR5 and mod it to get what you want. But Im poor so what does my opinion matter.

May be waiting awhile as I believe the 2019 Tacos were released late last year. I imagine that with all thats getting changed for the 2020's it'll be a late release this year too. I would still hold out for a cement though, thats the best color on a 3rd gen by far imo.

Either the Pro bubble has burst or potential buyers are waiting for a 2020 model.
