    20181216_163406.jpg Just had my iKamper skycamp stolen off of my trailer. Trailer was parked on base at camp pendleton, in vicinity of San Clemente. Please message me if you come across anything

    Report this to CID. The value threshold may push it to NCIS.

    I did, but there were no cameras in the lot and unfortunately "nothing they could do"

    Not holding my breath.

    Don't buy the "nothing they can do" story. They can check reports for a trend at a minimum, i.e. reports other camping type gear being stolen. Look in Pendleton yard sale sites, Oside swap meets, Craigslist etc. Unless they already had a buyer lined up, they'll be looking to unload it. Also, they may be intending to use it themselves, so keep an eye open for folks taking trips that could use it. Also, with the PCS cycle coming up, it would be worth it to notify the shipping div. on base to keep an eye out. Lastly, obviously, look at all other RTTs you pass by.

    Sorry about what happened and good luck.

    @Matty0317

    I just talked to my co-workers and they advised that you should report this to PMO as well since they may be more willing to look into corresponding thefts or trends. Since your item was personal in nature, it won't find it's way to NCIS.

    Thanks brother. I did file a report with PMO, after I was told CID wouldnt be able to help. Hopefully they can identify trends. I would advise anyone to start looking into ways to secure your RTT. I figured being on base i would be okay, but apparently not.

    on base? that's crazy! I've been looking at ways to possibly secure my bed rack and RTT. This definitely pushes it to the top of my list. few guys with basic tools and 10min could literally drive off with my bed rack, RTT, front bumper and wheels. You'd think they would start implementing ways to put locks on some of this equipment. Even rotopax, yea it locks to the mount but a drill and a socket and your gone in less than a minute.

    Sorry that some degenerate stole your shit. Some people just suck. I installed a BlackVue dash camera front and rear for this very reason. I hope you recover it somehow. Also thank you for your service

    That sucks. I keep a 30 ft long steel braided wire wrapped around mine and locked to the bed rack for fear of this happening. Hope you're able to recover it unscathed.

    If there were no cameras where your truck was parked when it was stolen what about at base entrances. Do you think someone would keep it on base?
