They are alot cheaper then AZ. But for a actual house it's pretty damn close to the same price as cali. If not it's a shitty neighborhood.

It's hard to decide with the pros and cons. Cali are gets good offeoading.

Going to the south you can find some good mud holes but I'd get something else for that. Plus the ability to hunt your own food in the south is a big bonus. My family that lives up there hasnt bought meat in years because they just go hunt for it instead as they own 67 acres in the middle of the boonies.

Good wheeling is definitely a requirement for me when we finally get out of CA, so I'm staying west if possible. Or north, just not east or midwest...I can barely stand the mud we get out here, let alone that crazy clay like mud the south/east has.

Ya out where my family lives it's more of riding quads threw the swamps and going to mud parks in there big lifted trucks. I hate mud also because then everytime you work on it shit falls on you. That's one of the things holding me back plus hurricanes. It would be easier to make my decision if I was only thinking about myself but thinking about my soon to be family. The old lady might be preggo and I cant see raising a kid in cali.

At least hurricanes are predictable, living here we have earthquakes (though not nearly as often) but you get no warning on those lol. Except for the distant sound of an impeding semi-truck barreling your way 5 seconds before the quake hits you. That's what I recall about the '94 Northridge quake anyhow.

Ya that is definitely one of the cons of living out here.

And I'd be right on the Florida georgia line so still close to beaches which I dont even go to out here because how dirty cali people have let them get

Brunswick Ga? If you like guns, Florida is turning into the Cali of the east so I wouldnt go there. Also, Hurricanes arent that bad. You have plenty of warning, and communities and neighbors rally to make sure everyone is prepared as can be. See, in the southeast we have this thing called caring for your neighbor. A lot of transplants are weirded out by it at first but seeing communities rally together after a big storm is awesome.

Did this at lunch, took 75 min... shouldn't have taken more than an hour, but because all these parts are original from what I can tell, I had to use enhanced interrogation on a few bits:

Pulled knuckle with hub and lower ball joints for press, took into my buddy's 4wd shop (feels weird driving my Infiniti around a plethora of bro dozers and mall crawlers... sooooo many Monster stickers). Took in the new lower ball joints, and UCAs along with new hubs and wheel bearings. Not sure what he'll charge me, but it probably won't be too bad.

What about Idaho? I hear it's the place for CA immigrants to go.

There is a TSB out on this. See here: https://we.tl/t-QLDrqqr5ij @GoJo

Sure, but can you use your visors now with the bigger than stock clip-on mirror? That's the problem I had when the one I got and ended up not installing it.

Nope. Idaho doesn't have public land access.
Example one: Wealthy Texans buy up land, close off Forest Road access.
Example two: Study finds millions of acres of public land inaccessible.

    True story.

Just look at the build thread
Got the garage cleaned out (enough) and pulled her in and got her up on jackstands for the front end rebuild. Plan is to start tearing it down after work this week and reassemble this weekend. Picking up a press on Friday to help with the hushings and such, as well as future projects. Also gave her a wash for the first time since 2015. She cleaned up alright but needs a detail.

Nevada is, if you move to the middle of nowhere. If you want the home of a larger that 2000 person town, CA prices. For insight, gas is the same and top at 91 octane. Our 4 bedroom house which sold for 215k 5 years ago is now 442k.

Tesla, Apple, Google, Switch, Amazon, and other larger companies brought jobs, and migrations. Economy is doing well, but rentals are insane. Studios are going for 1500/month. 2 bedrooms in downtown area shoot up to about 2400.

yeah that does sound comparable to here, at least in LA for rentals. Our houses are pretty crazy too.
