Shoot, they're pushing out all the homeless from underneath the hwy at manchaca.

Most are relocating down toward my office and sometimes they will wander into the garage.

    Downtown...its bad

Be sure to eat at the Oasis. The food sucks but... well, you’ll figure it out when you get there. Get there an hour before sunset

Also the Taco Deli off duval and mopac has the best Queso ever if you’re into foodgasms

Both of which are nowhere near there

There's a cool little bar/restaurant right there called Haymaker  And if you go like 5 minutes north one of the best little dives in that area, Knomad  Then cross the highway for another one of the best dives, Barfly's.

Also there's a badass little taco joint right by you called El Chile..

The one on 5th? Russian House. Their stroganoff is outstanding. My son wanted to eat there for his 21st birthday. Quaint, and GOOD.

I've only been here since '03, but have become one of those people... I was talking to the wifie the other day, and she mentioned that there are a couple of places named the Violet Crown now, not just the theater. I mentioned the theater, and that it sits where the city parking lot was for FREE PARKING, (I shit you not), when I wanted to catch a band at La Zona Rosa. The parking lot is long gone, and is La Zona Rosa still LZR, a mixed use D-bag Central?

From a press release on that venue, back in late 2017:

“There is no place in downtown Austin where technology, music, film and media come together like LZR,” Price said. “We are curating all kinds of events. It’s the DNA of Austin.”

No, :censored:, the DNA of Austin was live music in sub-standard venues where no one gave a :censored: about what everyone was wearing, or trending, or :censored::censored::censored::censored:...

Thanks. I'm trying to clean up my act a bit, because I know you like to keep the forum relatively clean...
