The box I have for cheapo sleeping bags and the spare tire is what takes up a majority of the space. Add a 5 gallon water Jerry, 2 duffle bags and rectangular milk crate with chainsaw and things start to get pretty small. Throw some climbing gear in there and it's about full. With the platform and the sag of the Nest I can't really stack much.

Sure thing! You can find more details at https://spikerengineering.com, but here's a synopsis - these high-lift hood struts eliminate the prop-rod and allow you to increase your early 1st gen Tacoma's hood’s open height by up to 6 inches above stock, for a full unobstructed access to all your engine projects. You choose the desired height during installation, and the hood will open to that position every time, with an easy one-hand operation.

The struts were tailored to the Tacoma’s hood geometry and weight. After popping the hood open and raising it a few inches, the struts take over and lift the hood firmly to its final position. To close the hood, lower it about halfway & the hood will come down and latch securely in place.

We've sold hundreds of these kits for the 4Runners, and have recently developed similar kits for the late 1st Gen Tacomas. @RedManRocket and @eimkeith were some of the early adopters of the late 1st Gen Tacoma kit.

Now we finally have the early 1st Gen Tacoma kits available, which many folks have asked for. @WileECoyote is currently installing one of these new kits.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
With the front end you're trying to match, it actually may be easier to start from scratch.

Curious... is your pic of the late 1st gen RedManRocket's truck? I swear that has to be his truck.

I've been thinking of getting a tundra DIY bumper then figuring out the supports and making one from there.

That's another reason I've thought of moving out to Georgia because my brother that's there has the welding skills to make bad ass shit he just isnt motivated

    Holy fucking catch up Batman.

How much did those run you? I’m definitely due with an intermittent p0420 and suffering mpg’s.

Pics of old fobs? Both of mine crapped out on me. Not sure if it’s the system or the fob.

Truth. I live on the east coast and after wheeling CO, UT, and NM I say fuck the east. But can’t afford to move to commifornia yet. We have a large office in San Luis Obispo that I wouldn’t mind making the move for if the company ponied up some relocation expenses.

My straps ripped off. Even if you fill it it’s what, 14 mm bolts holding it in? I replaced it with 3/16’s and 17mm bolts.

Don't change a thing. Its light and nimble and fun as hell in the dirt. Try not to add any more weight. Its a hoot of a truck. Though when I drove it it had the supercharger on it...so...might wanna find one of those again :D

Thats great news guys! Glad to see it going to good use. He built one hell of a awsome rig. Now don't let the young one roll it on 101 or Forcyde pops.
