Right...because because they're absolutely necessary for desert trucks.

I think you are maybe a little late to the conversation.........we’ve all been through this already many times, in other threads.........which is why it ended up a Dingus.

In honesty, I agree with Toyota’s thinking on this. I have packed an air filter with dust on a single trip, so it’s not like it’s not an issue. Of the options out there, the TRD one looks best to me. The ARB one looks like a wood stove bolted to your fender. At least Toyota tried to follow the body lines, and the Toyota intake will be more functional for dust. The ARB is just going to choke in the dust coming off the hood.

I am unlikely to add a snorkel to my truck, but if I did, it would be the TRD Dingus for sure.

This photo pretty much sums it up.

That photo just makes me wonder which air Intake is actually functional. Lol

Thanks for pointing that out. This thread is so packed with useful information, I'm ashamed to have cluttered it up :deadhorse:.

I’ve always used a groundhog to delete a snorkel.

My favorite so far is “the factory dong”.

Mine came without the DAI but it wouldn’t have been a dealbreaker if it did. I don’t mind it. My only stipulation was that I wanted a 6MT. It’s your money, spend it however you want. I don’t know why people get so hateful over stuff like this. Say whatever you want but the Pro is a really freaking nice truck. I had a ‘12 TRD OR that I loved but my ‘19 Pro is significantly nicer. So many people on TW will say “why did you buy the pro when you could just buy an OR and blah blah blah...” You know why? Because I wanted it and I can afford it. YOLO mother effers.

No problem man. You’ll get past the shame eventually, but the guilt will stick with you for a long while.

Well...that Lucas truck has it’s intake routed into the cab most likely, so...same idea, different execution.

OP where do you live? and would you be willing to trade/sell the quarter panel/snorkel? I have a 2017 Black TRD OR and a TRD airbox I would theoretically trade for or buy that stuff if this interests you or is remotely possible.

That's what happens when you don't have enough light bars. Or a skottle.
