    There's no way the physical throne got burned away. We would've seen that, I mean it's called Game of THRONES for a reason. It's too big of an idea to be burned/destroyed off screen

    I haven't seen it mentioned in here but...is it confirmed that Vary's was trying to poison Dany at the beginning of the last episode? Hence that little girl he was telling to "keep trying" to give Dany food.

    I don't know how or why I didn't think of it at the time, but now that I saw it mentioned elsewhere it makes way more sense that she burnt him to a crisp. I thought he was just being punished for spreading the word about Jon, but in that case why didn't she have Tyrion, Jon and Sansa all burned alive as well for doing the same thing? But if he was trying to poison her then yeah...he got the full wrath of Dany

    That was my first reaction based on that scene, my wife didn't follow it and doesn't believe it. I think he was trying to poison her and that's why the girl said the unsullied were watching her closely.

    yeah it makes total sense now. And let's not forget, Varys tried to have her poisoned way back in season 1 when he was in communication with Jorah (back when Jorah was a spy before he was loyal to Dany)

    She threatened to kill Tyrion, so there’s that. It’s another issue with the writing, little explanation and they didn’t show the transition to her being insane.. which she obviously would have been at that point.

    True but they put so much into their marketing scheme about who will sit on the Iron Throne (All the main characters pics on the Iron Throne) and just to have it destroyed off screen is really really dumb and a huge waste

    The fires are not hot enough to burn the iron throne according to some. Why would you want it anyways. The place is destroyed. Maybe they will take it back to Winterfell when all is said and done.
