Has anyone seen this bull bar, or any similar looking one, before? A company called Arctic Trucks out of Iceland installs them on their Arctic Conversion Tacomas: http://www.arctictrucks.com/?PageID=1318 I've got an email in to the company, and am awaiting a reply, but figured I would check with the experts here at tacomaworld in the meantime. (I've done a thorough search of both the TN forums and these, and haven't been able to find anything similar...I'm really hoping it's not a "one-off" type product, or something not available for shipping to the U.S.)

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of the Westin or other similar style, single-loop bull bars, and though I like the look of the Allpro hybrid bumper, do not want the added weight, thus, a bull bar like this would, in my opinion, be the perfect combination of form, function, and style, without sacrificing payload. Add will flow perfectly with my soon-to-be ordered Demello sliders ;-)

Any information you guys/gals would be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Similarly I'm looking for the same thing. This caught my eye as I'm looking for the exact description that you're describing for your wants/needs in a bull bar. I have an email to Auto Anything to find out what this one is and I'll share the info here too -

Let me know what you think.

I figured I wasn't the only one looking for this type of protection/styling. Of course I'll be sure to keep everyone informed on what I'm able to find out...

Well isn't this very poor marketing... Here's my response from Auto Anything -

"Thanks for emailing that to me Robert. Unfortunately, we do not carry the grill guard in that picture. It's a photo supplied to us by one of our vendors, and just happens to have that guard on it. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Stoney that is a nice looking bar. Did you see how it is mounted?

All of the usual bullbars use a bumper bracket with a couple of bolts a couple of inches apart. There is no way to resist much moment from the bar so they are all weak. You can't actually push anything with 'em.

I have a no-name clone bullbar. It's one piece (unlike westin) and doesn't have a stupid logo cut into it. Pretty sure it's just powder-coated muffler pipe. I'm happy just because I needed someplace to mount driving lights.

    Again, nice looking bar IMO.

Thanks to those that have replied thus far! I am still awaiting a reply back from Arctic Trucks on whether that is a commercially available bar or not. I'll keep everyone informed..

I'm still trying to figure out how the hell you fit 38" tires with only a 1.5" suspension and 2.3" body lift??

My thoughts on this is if we got about 10 of us, we'd be able to find a fabricator who may be able to work out a template/jig to make a few. I know I had a great fabricator called Hannah Fabrication out of San Luis Obisbo who made sliders for Land Cruisers, was a small outfit but did awesome work. Perhaps someone like Demello would be interested in building us a light bar such as this. Just a thought folks... What do you think??? Rob
