Got one of the add on box programs for HD

The HD specific flash unit is damn expensive and limited without it being logged into HD.

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking of going with the power commander and fuel moto's tunes

It’s like a new industry. Take Compustar’s Drone remote start. You want it, it’s so much per month and that’s just a simple start program.

Would have to see fuel moto’s stuff enable to give you a real opinion.

The best thing is always dyno time when tuning.

So true, kinda like stereos. Add on after add on just to get stock stuff like backup camera and steering wheel controls back.

There's a few authorized Fuel Moto guys around central Texas and a bunch of dudes with power commander experience. I just did the Harley ECM Stage 1 reflash to ensure my warranty gets minimally affected. Still got 72 horse and 88 torque during mid July last year on the dyno at Killeen Powersports. Mods are in my Sig. Not too bad for a Harley, honestly.

I got iDadata linked myself. Figured I might as well get gauges to boot.

Wide-band O2 sensors so you can really get a good tune as well

Only if you are chasing the a/f ratio tune dragon........don’t help if you are trying for max power, torque and efficiency.

My R1 is rated and tuned for 160 tyre on the ground power with 78 lbs ft of torque, could have set it at the 170hp mark but the fueling and power delivery were erratic.

Bike is set way “rich” until 8-8500 rpm.......in hopes of keeping the nose down under heavy drive out of corners.

It is a tool to be used, just not to be relied on for the answers

Agreed, homie. Just taking shop. :fistbump:

I like the wide-bands for tuning all levels of the powerband. I like making big power on street gas, so getting those AFRs right is important to me. I know the benefit of running on the lean or rich side and how it translates to drivability.

Careful with dyno guys running dynojet dynos.

Lots of numbers can and do get falsed on these.
Micah at AF1 has the same dyno that I had my 1 tuned on...(granted mine was done by the guy that built the dyno...)
Way better results on that dyno and true numbers.

    There is a difference.

This I know. I've been wanted to hit up someone with a motorcycle Mustang dyno the same week as a rerun on that same Dynojet.

Sorry, you can’t even imagine how many “garage super bike builders”
Talk about this as being the gospel cause Kevin Cameron or some magazine talking head has said something about this.....
    Back to shop/shit talk:p

I've seen better numbers running slightly lean on every engine I've tuned. Seems that depending on the engine, 13.7 is the best AFR that I've come across. I like running a little over 14.5, so usually 14.8 or so and advance timing to make up for it. I got lower EGTs on a turbo 5.0 fox body that way

AF1 Racing uses the FactoryPro EC997
    Dyno.
The guy that owns Factory is a good buddy.

Mustangs are good, as long as it is an Eddy current type and does an automatic calibration to take into account wheel weight, rolling resistance of the clutch, trans, and drive......dynojet does not do this.

I had the Fuel Moto on my Trike. Made all the difference in the world after swappin' out the intake and exhaust. Not cheap, but woke it back up.

Think I’m at 9 or 10 on the range below 8-8500 rpm. Bike is a little slower on take off, but acts like a Saturn 5 rocket after that.
I think we go as lean as 17 in the higher rpm/gear areas.
Rated for 180 mph.....in current form, only had it to 175-178 indicated......ON THE TRACK!!!! No rule violations here:spy:
