You said eaton makes full time selectable locker. I think you meant full time just wanted to make sure that people knew there was a difference between the 2 and you can't have both.

 

Well, actually it's selectable on the fly.
You can choose LSD or fully locked.
I think their might even be a 3rd choice. Maybe open diff.

 

Gotta link or info because I don't think this is possible from a mechanical standpoint and how an LSD and selectable locker works.

That's close to what I saw a while back but I am certain that I saw a 3rd selectable option.
It had an electronic control mounted to the dash where you could flip thru 3 choices.

That's pretty cool! They don't make it for a yota though.

 

The Toyota mech lsd is great on the road, but is pretty much an open diff off road. Once a tire lifts it spins, the brake assist lsd they do now is better off road, but imo sucks compared to the mech on road.

Yea, I hadn't read up on it lately. I know it's been out for a bit.

I wish somehow Ox would have got their shit together and found a way to mount a cable system on Toyota's but apparently they onmy have them for for rear diff access vehicles.

To just be able to pull a lever and lock the rear would be great. No electronics, no air. Just a single cable and lever.

 

Nice! I would research to make sure you can put the open style diff carrier in your 3rd member before you go buying anything and then find out it doesn't work. Or simpler just call ECGS and get their expertise they should know off the bat really quickly.

 

You can do an OX in a yota just get the D60 that ECGS makes for the rear and get the OX in that

I'm leaning towards a Harrup for the front not sure what I will end up doing for the rear.

I'm not sure that info is correct.

Open diff- wheel that slips gets the power.
Lsd- wheel that grips gets the power.

Can you use your ebrake to switch power?
It's an old school trick the open dif guys used to do.

 

If there is enough power or slippage to overrun the mechanical advantage of an LSD then yes they can act like an open or if they are slap wore out! It's only clutches with springs to set the "grip" strength of them and they aren't really performance oriented from the factory.

 

Bruh. Just get this. Well get you on some super flexy coils in the rear and youll be good to go. Includes selectable locker and I believe traction control.

 

No No No don't need any fancy traction control or Heep parts on my truck. Plus the ECGS D60 uses the factory brakes etc.
