I flew for an airline for 31 years, it will remain nameless but it's initials were aa. I got over the bs that evolved with that job really fast. Now I have a much less stressful gig. If you aren't happy going to work, think about maybe a change (if that's an option).

 

How have you been? Long time no see.

I've been looking for some time now... Just haven't come across something that really sparks my interest, and the ones that have, I haven't had luck with. By the way... The pic you posted... Your company, or you work for them?

 

No dude, I work for them. It's a franchise business. Guy owns 2. He's a super awesome boss. I don't want to own my own business, I'm looking for low stress. My only responsibility now is to keep the wife happy. The kid is married and independent so....

Morning everyone. Happy hump day.

Oldest is sick, again. Was complaining last night... Went to bed, fell asleep at 9, woke up at 12:30 with a fever. Gotta take him to the doc... Poor kid just can't catch a break.

Finally got around to ordering another sticker because the one I put on in the winter was crooked. With my ocd, it lasted just an hour till I took it off. Put the new one on tonight, and noticed it’s missing the “.” by com. Wasn’t on the backing paper or anything.. Just going to
take off the com and call it a day.

Also used the truck for truck things this afternoon. Love this damn thing.

Sick kiddo tested positive for strep yesterday. Poor guy just can't catch a break.

 

Poor kid, hopefully the put him on antibiotics. He'll snap back quickly if they did. That's been going around this year.

Yep... Antibiotics, 10ml twice a day for 10 days.

 

He'll probably be bouncing off the walls by Saturday!

I had strep twice this year. How the hell does a 50+ yr old get this twice?! One full day on antibiotics and the soreness was gone.

 

This is his second time in the span of 1 or 2 months. He's 5 and already caught it 4 times.

Gave him the first dose last night since he went to the doc at 4. Giving him another dose this morning when we wake up the kids. Hopefully by the end of the day and we give his the 2nd dose, he'll be somewhat back to his normal self.

 

My oldest, now 18 used to get that all the time. We opted to have her tonsils removed and hasn’t had it since and she hardly gets sick in general. My youngest started getting it more and when we mentioned doing the same they now “require” a certain number of cases per year before they consider removing them. WTF?

Anyhoo hope he snaps back quick.

 

Yeah... It's BS about the number of times thing. My son used to have a lot of ear infections, so we had tubes put in. Both fell out way too early, so we go see an ENT every 6 months now, just to make sure his ears are fine since it looks like the wholes weren't closing. We asked about having the tonsils removed the last time we were there, because he had just gotten over strep the second time, and we got the same response; that's not a lot and it's normal so we're not going to do it yet. I was like, WTF?!?! To me it's a no brainer - do it now since he's still super young, especially now that he's going on 4 times catching it already. We're going there again in July, so you better belive I'm going to ask again.
