I used this on an old trolling motor head that was sun faded to the max. Trolling motor worked fantastic, just looked like hell. This stuff restored the black plastic to about 95% of new. The TM head looked about a gazillion times worse than your door panel.

That's the same stuff I use all over the place. I even used it on the painted plastic interior trim to remove the adhesive from a phone mount. Looks like mine is almost empty.

 

All warning stickers must die, esp one that I would see every damn time that I would drive it.

 

This is the stuff I use and I have never had a issue. Used both on the exterior and interior of my truck in various places.

 

did you ever fix or resolve this. I had exactly the same thing happen to me. Any suggestions?

 

I peeled mine off yesterday and was planning on using rubbing alcohol. Haven't done it yet though

 

pam or vegetable oil gets adhesives off with no problem. then use a little bit of diluted dish soap to get the cooking oil off. cant beat the stuff.

 

I just read 3 pages of this and I am still stuck on the fact that a person has to ask the internet how to remove adhesive residue and then screwed it up.. Followed up with thinking about replacing a door panel as it has a small section that is discolored..

 

I think the lesson learned here is.... use Goo Gone sparingly, just a teeny tiny drop goes a long way to remove most adhesives, that citrus oil is powerful stuff.

 

I think the lesson learned here was like Lindsay Lohan just leave the sticker alone

 

Does not damage paint. removes tar and bugs also.
