I just picked up the covervraft. Quality looks good but fit is a bit off. DB43C30C-E2D6-4A1C-A60F-D7A74196ED9C.jpg775CA4F3-6D92-4461-B544-9D683F6E7C7B.jpg

Per my google kungfu I got the correct model, but seems like a big gap around the mirror.

+1 for Covercraft. Goes up and comes down very easily. I keep it in the passenger side seat back pocket when i'm driving. I love it for the exact fit, also it doesn't block my dashcam when the car is parked

This is the one I want, however does anyone know if this works with the “lane departure” sensor. I’ve clicked all the links “weathertech” and cover craft but site pictures don’t have the TSS sensor box thing. Any confirmation or pics of your trucks with the sensor and shades?

That is the "under cover" version of the Covercraft Sun shade. It lets undercover cops park in plain sight, and covertly keep an eye out for illegal activity. o_O

I had a covercraft on my last truck and it was too notch but held off with the taco because I wasn’t sure the fit was right. That’s definitely not a good fit imo

Yours is an exact fit? Like the quoted above with that huge gap?

Can you take a picture the next chance your in the truck of the weathertech shade? You have an 18 so I want to see the fit with the box. Thank you

Agreed, the fit around the mirror is terrible. I found a guy on here that has a 2019 Pro and he linked the 2016-2017 model covercraft shade in a post. It looks to fit much much better than mine from what I could tell from the pic. Pic below.

    5DA568E9-FC37-4705-BCFE-3407F0419267.jpg

I reached out to the guy to confirm it’s the older model and hopefully have him snap a pic from the interior. I have found pics of the 2016-17 model and the notch for the mirror is about half the size of the one I got. I assume this is due to 16–17’s not having the TSS box.

If it is the older model I am going to try to exchange my 2018+ model for it. I bought it from autoanything FYI.

    Edit: read post #14 https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ave-you-done-what-will-you-do-post-it.606585/

Nano ceramic heat rejection tint is cut to fit your windows perfectly and it stays on all the time.
Put the film on all of the windows and you’ll never use those cheap things again.

    Gotta get the windshield done.

I love mine. Protects my eyes and skin and controls the temp in my vehicle very well. Those shades only help when you aren’t driving the vehicle around... well personally I care more about the comfort of my vehicle when I’m driving than when I’m away from it lol.

I got the 2016-2017 on order now. Swapping it for the 2018+ I tried out. I got ahold of the guy with the 2019 pro who has the 16-17 sun shade. He says it covers quite a bit. It actually goes a little above the TSS he said. It won’t be a perfect fit still but should cover more than the 2018+ did. We shall see!

Sorry for the lousy pic of the Weathertech shade. It actually fits pretty tight. Insulated mylar with no cardboard.

I have read that reflecting the radiant energy from inside the vehicle is about 80% less efficeint than from outside. We also run one of these with the Weathertech when parked for long periods in direct sun.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CMHVBC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Actually kept the cab several degrees cooler than outside temps on our four month camping trip last summer. YMMV.

Agreed, same here in Wisconsin. Have several LEO friends. A reason for a traffic stop anytime.
