I just started about a year ago under the mentorship of the local guys. I do enjoy bass fishing, but surf fishing has become my prefered method. Plus drum and rockfish are tasty.

 

Yeah, it doesn't look super clunky in the pic. Maybe a bit thick if anything. I'm not big on big watches.

I'm a big bass guy myself. I do a lot of trout fishing as well, but it's very seasonal here and you have to travel to get into anything large.

Times are changing too. This used to be standard size. Not anymore

That stiff neck I had at last week is almost healed up. Tiger balm is doing wonders.

The rainbow we usually see out here are pretty tiny. I've been told there's some decent largemouth around but I've yet to see any.

 

Oh don't get me wrong....

 

I'd hook him in the ass and throw him back out there.

 

Haha I forgot to crush the barb on that one. That actually about 2700' up the mountain. Pretty cool fish up there

 

Be fun to whip his ass back and forth on a fly rod.

 

Does that self adjust the date? On mine I have to manually change the date after 30 day month. PITA

 

Is it barbless only up there?

 

Nah, I have to reset it. Not too bad. Just a click of a button

 

Only on wild trout ponds. The rest is just encouraged

 

Reminds me of the 4" bass my buddy hooked on a plug that was about the same size.

 

I like the octopus circle hooks... the fish set the hook themselves.

 

I have the best luck when I can get to mouth of the Merrimack in the first couple weeks in June. All day action

 

I'm a big fan as well.
