    It’s actually not the pressure, it’s the metal locking tabs that are junk and bend, then it leaks because the locking tabs don’t lock the cap to the radiator

    I used my oem replacement cap from my old radiator. It worked better.

    The newer version radiator I believe uses the stock radiator cap

    Stock size but it came with a Champion cap which I’m using. Don’t think it’s a Toyota cap.

    Hey John - sounds like 188 is where your thermostat equilibriates. Exact same as mine. Is this idle condition the only time you see it go over that? What if you don’t rev, where do you see it go?

    Pulling grades go over 188?

    It seems to bounce around from 188-190,

    At idle ( no,rev) sometimes to 193.

    Why not run the thermostat that is actually designed for this application? 180 is what is supposed to be there. The ecu won't even go into closed loop mode till just under 180. These things are designed this way for a reason. Namely, to make sure everything is seated properly and operating in the designed tolerances.

    Treat the cooling system with RMI-25. That will make things clean, and work optimally

    Put them on dry. IIRC, they are JIC fittings, and designed to be used dry. At any rate, 'flare' means it's to be used dry.
