    I received my $65 hood vinyl decal from an eBay seller today.

    I’m pretty good at this kind of stuff, so I went to install it: cleaned and prepped the surface, measured carefully, lined the decal perfectly, held it in place with masking tape...but when I went to remove one half the backing paper, the vinyl got stuck against itself.

    Managed to unglued it, but the vinyl is now too damaged. :(

    I’ll take my truck to a vinyl wrap place and have them black out the hood. I’m not throwing away any more money.

    Had a local vinyl wrapper here in Whatcom County cut me a custom fit hood black out in satin black. He did an excellent job!

    I got the TRD decals online and added them onto the vinyl.

    AVS Aeroskin bug shield, TufSkinz tailgate letters, tinted windows, Undercover Ultraflex bed cover.
    Just in case you ever decide to fool with vinyl in the future, when I did my hood piece I just undid a few inches of the backing and stuck it down and worked it out a few inches at a time all the way across the hood. This helps if you get bubbles to, easy to pick up an inch and redo.

    My Super White hood glare is bothersome especially in the beveled area near the windshield. If there was a vinyl mat that went all the way to the rear edge I would like that. If there are any custom vinyl makers around I would be interested.
