I'm confused about what I'm arguing about...

All I'm is Honda had a pretty bad streak the last decade and I would caution buying Honda products based off an otherwise good reputation for quality.

If you can’t even do that, it’s time to hit ignore.

    Me too.
Fair. The last Honda I bought was my '04 Pilot, and it treated me well. Never had any issues with any of the 90s-00s Hondas I owned either. I have no experience with Honda's of the past decade, aside from a very underwhelming test drive of a 2019 HR-V.

Its illegal to void a warranty unless the manufacturer can un-equivocally prove the user's modifications and / or miss use caused the defect. Federal law. "Void if removed" stickers are not legal, neither are stipulations that a warranty is voided if modified unless that modification is directly tied to the defect.

Thank you for the legal explanation.

I will print it and save it for the day my dealer wants to give me grief over my set of aftermarket wheels.

No, not for going off topic, for leaving me all curious for pictures and to find out what the dealer did

If we're basing our opinion of the Tacoma off TacomaWorld, none of us should have bought one. These things are horrible, apparently.

Just because they give you shit, doesn’t change the fact that they can’t legally void the warranty. They’ll say that to anyone that stands there and takes it. Fight back, search law, show them, get a lawyer if needed. Just because they tell you no doesn’t mean that’s it.

I get it. Thank you. Still doesn’t make me want to get a lift or get 35” tires. Not any time soon anyway.

Only have one in town. In fairness, I haven’t had a run in with them yet.

Listen, dealers and insurance companies try to deny all claims initially, sometimes is an actual company unofficial, if not official policy. They do this because many people actually let them get away with it.

If you just take their "grief" that's your problem not mine.

If your trying to get warranty work on a wheel bearing when running 35's, that's one thing. But if your running stock sized tires and they aren't honoring a warranty because your rims are a different color and you just let them walk over you, I can't help you.
