Yes, 6 screws (3 each shoulder) holds the whole thing together. Just don’t have a broken collar bone to screw into & your good to go.

"Massive", as I'm sure you know, is an actual medical term, which I found funny.

    upload_2019-5-15_10-10-23.jpg

I'm not sure why they didn't go with extra large or venti, but that's another story for a different day.

Bummer about your situation... Fortunately, I was able to get in before the tendons retracted too far, but they were still 2-3 cms, or about an inch, for the metrically challenged. I have a great ortho surgeon, and he was able to get everything stitched up. I've probably posted it here before, but this is the dreamcatcher he stitched up:

    upload_2019-5-15_10-14-54.jpg

I'm a little over 3 months post surgery, and 7 weeks of PT, and things are getting much better. I get scolded for doing stuff like mowing the lawn and other yardwork, but I can't sit on my :censored: for 6 months, either.

Towards the end before surgery a big sneeze would dislocate both my shoulders, LoL. Couldn’t even blow my nose.

It’s time for me to not be in a 18 wheeler anymore. I’ll do it again when I’m allowed to run over or shoot people that can’t share the road. Common courtesy is gone, I have to push people out of the way after a blinker was on for half a mile and my lane ends. I try to be conscientious of other drivers when I’m over 12’ wide and people insist on passing on my blind side then locking up the brakes to make a turn. Six registered events on the drive cam in 15 miles and none are my doing.

    PM in bond shortly.
My company is looking for 3 more drivers with a CDL. It didn't cost anything to talk about it.
