Just had mine done yesterday. I usually drive barefoot and it's definitely an adjustment with the shorter pedal. The recall really wasn't necessary - just tell those morons who had their pedal "stick" to take their foot off the gas...

I received the recall letter in the mail i am tempted to do it just for a new set of AWFM since mine has a hole from my heel pressing my clutch pedal in. Is there any difference for the 6spd besides them hacking off my pedal. Just want to know if any of the Manual guys out there have had it done.

I got the recall ltr the other day, it mentions no recall#, but refers to the AWFM, which i don't have, I checked the pedal, looks like a different one than the op showed, also the bottom of it doesn't even come close to the mats that came with it.

file 13 for that recall ltr

Got my notice today....I might just get it done anyway.

I have Husky floor mats, so technically.....I don't need it done. Maybe they'll *inspect it* and say I don't need it to be cut. I'd love to give them back my original floor mats (request they give me something else!!) Yeah right...

I'm more interested in the reflash for the brake over-ride. I'm wondering if that reflash will put an entirely new updated computer programming in there (or whether it's just added changes to the current program)

And the other thought...If I ever want to sell this truck, it's better off this stuff is done.

I dunno...I've been working my ass off lately, I don't know if I'll have any time to get this done.

I had one of those on my 91 Corolla. Sadly it wouldn't fit properly on the Tacoma pedal so I sold it with the car. :( I miss it.

I personally think the recalls are bull#*@! if your truck takes off on it's own (which nobody has ever been able to re create the problem in testing) you can just put the truck in N and stop....

The brake override does not affect the brake+throttle used off-roading and staging.

Exactly. Some people just hop in their cars everyday. The only thing they know is the gas makes it go, the brakes make it stop, and the steering wheel makes it turn. Anything else....they're clueless.

Anyone else get the feeling that Chris' shredder could shred that notice while it was stuck to the refrigerator?

Just got my letter too. I have been waiting for this as I also want the Transmission Flash for poor down shifting and the Leaf Spring TSB done. Made an appointment for next Friday morning.

At first the girl I was speaking with said they can't just do TSB's and can only do the recall. After pressing her she transfered me to a service tech. I went over all the complaints I had and he said that he will address everything that I spoke of when I bring it in. He said though that since they are TSB's a tech does have to look at the truck before they can do anything or order parts. I told them about the internet reports of dealerships making the customers jump through hoops to get this obviously known issue addressed and he said they do not do that. We will see.
