    Location, from\to local wheeling.

    Hidden Falls is very close.
Drive in Friday, drop off camping trailers\campers\coolers\kegs\Sousaphones and head out for Hidden Falls for the day.

    How many fingers?

I was running to a PT appt. last week, down Parmer to Avery Ranch, and this :censored: decided that she didn't like me driving the speed limit behind her. From 1431 south to Brushy Creek, she blocked me by driving next to this dump truck, speeding up when I tried to pass on the right, brake checking, and other types of buffoonery, all while driving 15 miles under the speed limit of 65. I was only slightly surprised to find a nicely dressed grandma of around 65, when I pulled up next to her at the stop light, as she has to wait for the light to turn left. She declined my request to roll her window to chat, so I simply had to hurl :censored: a bit/lot louder.

That area is so cancer. Get boxed in on Parmer all the time from people doing a solid 45

Out of those, the Wing, which is the bagger style Honda built for a few years, would be better for cruising. She's a big bitch, with a 6 cylinder. The FJR walks on it, but if your friend is just starting out, neither of mine are recommended, too big/fast, or both. If someone is just into "cruising", that translates to putting around town, which translates to a V-Twin.

I won't touch the brand/models question with a ten foot pole. I will say it has been nice, over the years, to see Harley riders get over their "rice sucks" attitude, but the only one they were ever hurting was themselves. I have always ridden with anyone but drunks, and never cared care what they were on.

The scoot market is softer than a whiskey:censored: right now, plenty of bargains to be had.

I remember the 1st FJ-1100 Yamaha we prepped for sale. 1984
Very simple bike, compared to the Sports Tourer of today, but that bike created sport touring.

Who purchased a bike with a 146 MPH top speed? A DPS Trooper, of course!
He "mentioned" its ability to walk away from pursuit vehicles. gee, I wonder how he discovered this? :)

This road, leading into Roswell, NM:

    upload_2019-5-15_14-16-9.jpg

    Led to this:

    upload_2019-5-15_14-17-21.jpg

There was a more to go with the right hand, but I didn't want to add insult to injury for the guys that were riding with me, or slide down that desolate and very hot road for 1/2 mile or so, should something go astray.

It is amazing. They are talking about making it three lanes, which wouldn't be necessary if people simply drove the speed limit of 65. I drive the Tundy like I'm on a slalom course when I'm on it...

No, we were heading south from Santa Fe; I think it's Hwy 20, out in the middle of nowhere, and about 50 miles long, if I recall.

That’s kinda like asking what the best gun is. Each one has a different purpose and comfort. If he’s going to be a bar hopper, Uber is probably better. I currently have four bikes and I have more fun with the little ones in town than the big nasty one.
