Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are maps for each gear plus freaking neutral. Just crazy.

On a happy note I just flashed with 87 base file and it seems pretty good so far.

Boy am I glad I just stuck with the TSB instead of the tune, because the only reason I would've bought the tune is to cure the rev hang.... That's why I asked about it in 2017, 2018, and not going to ask anymore in 2019... Because I'm tired of not getting a straight answer.

As far as Ovtune working on other projects instead of the 3rd gen manuals, you guys are right. Because it has been almost 2 years since the DFCO Revhang was brought up alongside the tune, and it was in is OP when he introduced the tune to tacomaworld, but since has been edited out.

You can see for yourself how many projects he has going just from his facebook.. Want to see more visit other car enthusiest forums..... We are all impatiently waiting on fixes and updates LOL On the other hand who else is working on tunes for our trucks..... No one..... I guess We should be more patient and grateful that someone has us in line for an update, even if it is a long line.....

@ajsabra I flashed my Taco last night at work... The difference is night and day. I feel like I am driving someone elses truck with a bit more low end get up... Worth it imo. Im glad this tune is here and I hope they keep rolling out tweaks to make things better and better for all of us. If not, I feel like what I currently have (1.05) has been worth the money I have spent in itself...

Yep, Mat has said there is.

A single torque map SHOULD remove the inconsistencies we feel in response while rowing the box. Imagine that, a more or less predictable power curve.

As long as it doesn't stutter or hang, eh!

Let's not get like the AT thread is. Let's appreciate what progress OV Tune has been able to make so far. I've run each of the tunes that I've had access to and settled on 1.05 87 base. I'm really happy with how my truck runs, the mileage is better and the drivablilty is MUCH improved. Sometimes it seems like folks are expecting a tune to be able to turn our tiny engines into true powerhouses. Not going to happen. This is a mid sized truck with a small displacement engine. Let it be that. I also have a 1950 Chevy that I built with a stroked 700hp small block. It's much faster than my truck, has WAY more torque than my truck, sounds better than my truck and I love it but it gets single digit MPG and it most likely is about as useless as a mesh condom off road. Every vehicle has it's purpose. IMHO, OV Tune has allowed my truck to better serve it's purpose.

We are not tuning the tacoma exclusively and nothing else. Some of what you are looking at we were doing before we even began on the tacoma. We can't just ignore every other platform or customer now that we tune tacomas. Regardless, a majority of our time is invested in the Tacoma.

We've already said that DFCO is not something we are looking at adjusting due to how it is designed in code.

I don't understand why everyone is thinking that just because we tune other cars that Tacomas are now dead to us, or at the bottom of the list? Has it ever been this way? no. But lets look at this from a realistic point of view. If you guys want me to invest 100% into the tacoma I have to be 100% certain that I'll still be in business in a few years. Please look at this from a realistic point of view.....
