I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD off road pckg. and from the first week until now the truck jerks when applying the brakes at certain speed and brake pressures. The rotors have been turned the drums have been turned and Toyota in Wilmington NC say that jerking is normal for a 4x4 with off road package. I have seen people on here talking about it but has there been a cure yet. I have owned a bunch of new vehicles in my 65 years and this is by far the worst I have ever had. If there is a cure please let me know what it is.

I'd take it to a separate mechanic to get a second opinion.

    There isn't a cure.

    Trade it in

That's the end of the thread folks, nothing to see here.

Is it jerking to the left or right? Consistently in the same direction? Could it be a bad brake hose?

Then trade it in. Or drive it towards a wall at a fast rate, close your eyes, and let Jesus take the wheel.

Mine is not a pos. My truck has been just fine. Sure, it has had a couple recalls, but they were fixed before there was a problem.

First of all, you shouldn't jerk your brakes. Second, not a very good trolling effort.

Toyota has also had issues with warped/short rear axles.

Try slowly applying the hand brake to see if it jerks.

Test drive another TRD OR or Pro and see if you feel the same "jerking", if not take the Service Manager out to that truck you test drove without the jerk, and say "B.S. show me this one doing the same thing"....

How's the "Lemon Law" in your state? ...

This is what happens when people see all these "cool" tacos driving around, "oh man I need one of those" . Should really test drive and reevaluate what you actually need

I did test drive but didnt notice it doing that and wouldn’t have thought that would happen on new vehicle but I bought the TRD off road package so I wouldn’t have to let air out of the tires to drive on the beach 3-4 times a week but I was wrong on that also Kevlar tires aren’t worth a rats ass on sand. Should have bought a Ford F-150 Lariat or Tundra Limited at least could have got decent interior instead of cheap cloth. Never to old to learn and I probably will trade.
