I like those rear bumpers but they are not BSM/CTA compatible... And they look like they almost could be... sigh.
I've fount the CTA invaluable when I back out of places in downtown areas or on some jobsites. Don't always have and apprentice to eyeball for me when I'm backing out of a blocked in area....

I'll probably have the decision made for me when I rip off the rear facia (can't call it a bumper) when I'm off-road... Lol

You can probably make anything work. I've seen you cut a bed slide in half and mcgiver it into a perfectly working drawer for your taco.

The header might not line up with your gs, but nothing a little heat or welding couldn't fix. You cover it all with exhaust wrap when you're done anyways.

Bought the truck with it coated already, I was wondering what I should do to maintain it. I obviously will krown it then fluid film it on top for extra protection but is it worth painting the new frame with POR 15 on top of factory paint or is that excessive and a waste.

POR 15 does not like "flexy things". and unless you take the truck apart you won't get it everywhere.

I only use Fluid Film on my leaf springs, it does work great but smells bad (especially on your exhaust) and collects dirt real bad. Only reason I use it on my leaf springs besides that it works real well it that it's so thick it's one of the best for direct water spray and it's packed in there like grease to help keep crap out of the leafs.

For the rest of the truck I use ACF-50, I buy it by the gallon off Amazon, put it in an undercoating gun and MIST the underside of the truck and inside doors etc. Google it the stuff it one of the best for ferrous metals BUT also stops galvanic action from dissimilar metals and works th best on zinc and Al metals. (was developed for the aircraft industry) safe on rubber also (but don't soak your rubber parts), converts existing corrosion and has a high "lubricity" so keep it away from your brakes and watch all your squeeks go bye bye. Collects a layer of fine dust and that's it, does not turn into that layer of "crud" that FF does.

Another product that I have used that also works real well is Corrosion Free 3000, you can get it in aerosol can at Canadian Tire and Princess Auto / Amazon, it is on Par with ACF-50 for corrosion protection, handles direct water spray a little better than ACF-50 but not as well as Fluid Film. It does not "creep in" to areas as well as ACF-50 but does better than Fluid film. It collects more crud than ACF-50 but does not turn into the sludge pit that Fluid Film does.

I like Fluid Film and it does work good, but after working on one of my work trucks that I fluid filmed the previous year.... never again will I put waxy/grease all over my truck. Lol changing rear shackles and springs... Blackface and smelling like a wet sheep did not make the job any more fun. Did give me incentive to buy the Taco though. Previously I had been using ACF-50 or transmission fluid on my vehicles and thought I'd try FF.

Lol only time I got that black before, with a vehicle, was scraping all the tar undercoating off of a '56 Chevy, never again....
