If your price was fine, who cares where you ordered it from. The hate for that place is silly, go where you get the best deal.

Jason can rebuild whatever shocks you have, but you’re seriously way ahead of yourself if you’re buying new shocks and have concerns about rebuilding. Borrowing trouble, as my mom would say.

The hype on Fox and Icon is meh. They’re nearly as expensive as King and ADS, and they rust and/or blow valve seals way faster. Just my 2 cents.

Shit you can rebuild C/O's it's easy! All you're doing is replacing the seals.

I buy from 4WP on a regular basis. Because they are the best price on certain items.

Maui Offroad is a complete Rip off!
i.e. Procomp basic kit from 4WP is $1395. MOR quoted $2200 for the exact same kit.
I got it on sale for $1195 from 4WP. (Doing the install myself)

I would agree on the install. The last truck I had 4WP do (Because they had a free install sale) When I tried to remove the CV axle, the axle nut was so tight that I bent 2 breaker bars trying to get the nut off. (Fucken Morons used the impact gun to install the nut!) Never again!

But as for prices? Order online is cheaper then going into the store. And then have it "Pick up at store". Saves a few bucks!

As for alignment? Fuck "Scotty's" ! He acts like a duche bag when you go there. Like he's doing you some type of favor!

Firestone will do a lifetime alignment. Good year and Sears does alignment on lifted truck also. Way better service then Scotty!

If you want I can help you do your lift if you need help. But I require beer and food!!!!

    Good luck!

No got rid of the Tundra a few years ago, went to a 4runner for a few years then figured out I prefer a truck so I'm back in a Tacoma!

Goodyear couldn’t align mine because they didn’t have the right profile, and that was *after* they scratched all four of my wheels with the balancer and alignment tools. Amateur hour.

Firestone apparently isn’t doing recon alignments anymore. @El Duderino can weigh in on that, pretty sure he had an issue with them recently.

sears might work out too, a friend works there now and they have new laser sensors that strap around the tire and not mounted to the rim anymore. when he did my truck earlier this year, he had the tech play with the preset settings to get the alignment close to where I wanted.

Yeah They won't depending on the size of your rim? Too wide they won't do it.
The guy at Good Year told me the same thing.
I believe that 12" wide rims are the limit. (That might even be too wide for their equipment.

But I avoid Scotty's like the plague! He would be my absolute last resort!
It's been years since I went to him, maybe his attitude has changed over the years? But customer appreciation wasn't in his business motto.
(But that was when he was the only game in town for lifted trucks)
Now that other places are doing lifted trucks he may have gotten a wake up call (a drop in income business) that to be in business you need to have customer service.

Has anyone here had a good experience at Scotty's???

All the guys I've ever talked to, all seem to have the same impression of him.

I don’t know where Scotty’s is. I always went to Island Tire and Brake.

Island Brake and Alignment is pretty good with lifted trucks.

But, I’ve also gone to Firestone on Shafter and Hickam.

Wow. Thats the first time I heard to avoid Scotty's. I always go to Island Brake and Alignment. Derek is always cool. I remember when his credit card machine system was down, he let me take my truck to go to ATM to get cash so could pay him. Those guys are awesome.

Well like I said I haven't been to him in years.
This was back when Scotty's was the only game in town, No place else wanted to touch lifted trucks, and he acted like you should be grateful that he was doing your alignment for an "arm and a leg"
May be he's changed?? Don't know don't care!
I Just know that I prefer not to support his business if I have a choice.
(Sorry I know this doesn't sound very cool) But just being honest!
If you go to him hopefully you have a better experience.

It's like Lowes. Lowes Waikele really sucks with Customer service! I rather go to HomeDepot then go to Lowes because of their CS it's much better. I drive to Hardware Hawaii in Kailua just because they have outstanding CS. and I live on the Westside! But I will support the businesses that appreciate my business. But that just me.

    I wish you luck!

    Have a good one!

I’ve gone to Scotty’s recently and he was super cool. Maybe he did change! I actually haven’t had a problem with him at all in the last couple years...took my truck this last time around a month or so ago and he was still super cool.

Some of the guys at Servco did mention to me that ever since his place burnt down a few years ago that he's been treating customers better?
    Hopefully that's true?

I've been taking my trucks to GoodYear Kapolei and they have been great! Alway freindly. (Only thing is they don't offer lifetime alignment)
I know Firestone does, but I've never taken any of my vehicle to them?
Might give them a call to see if they would do my truck after I install my Procomp lift?
Someone said they don't offer lifetime alignment for modified trucks? (Just stock vehicles.)
Goodyear told me about a 3 year plan that includes 6 alignments for $300. So that works out to $50 a pop! Not too bad.
Since I like to tweak my suspension to get the optimum settings, it's worth it to get as many alignments as I can for the best price.
