As for the Ezra... Sweet oak notes and that high proof smell. Thinner viscosity than expected. Taste is sweet up front. Normal vanilla and maybe apple? Then the heat. Good heat. Hair on your chest. Fades away though. Again, if it were more readily available, I'd stock up more.

My man! I forgot what I owe you.

Also, that's a good pickup on the WFE 4 year. You got one of the higher proof bottles. I think you'll dig it!

A lot of the Whiskey Club guys and I divide an conquer on bottles and apparently the 4R has been conquered, so I have one to try.

    Appreciate the offer, though!

I'll give as much notice as I can. Will be a good time!

Four pours tonight: michters rye, Ezra, Ezra, and Bookers Kentucky chew... Followed by a pour of NyQuil... Time to go lie down. Figure this will kill the bug I'm fighting. Or make it a woozy drunk!

    See y'all manana

So I’ve still not seen any feedback on a yay/nay for the logo for the glasses. Any thoughts from everyone out there so we can move forward?

I hadn't voted/offered feedback because I didn't have a horse in the race, so to speak. I hadn't planned on buying one, but if you need more takers I can sign up.

We need to get the logo worked out, I’m not sure what to do since we haven’t got a yay/nay of the TW inclusion with it. If we can’t get it what way does everyone want to go for a logo?

I haven't been keeping track of this recently, so you're saying we're still unsure of the allowed usage of the TW logo? If nobody is gonna tell us we can't use it, then I guess it's fair game for us have it on our glasses

    :stirthepot:

@tcBob have you seen this thread and the folks asking about custom etching some whiskey glasses with the TW logo? The plans I've seen are to make them for sale to our small whiskey group here.

I'd buy about half of these again for sure.

Ones I probably won't buy again:
Newer A'bunahd batches all priced around 100 bucks near me (I'd pay 70)
Glengoyne 15 (solid dram, nothing fancy though for its price)
Deanston 18 (I'd stick to the 12 yo or look for a CS offering)
Hazleburn 10 (was my first Campbeltown whisky, not bad but I've become a Longrow fan and will also pick up standard Springbank offerings next)
Red Breast 12 (this is a good whiskey, but I'm going for the CS version next and am afraid it will ruin me for the standard 12 )
Nikka coffey grain and Pure Malt (not worth their price. Pure malt has some super young whisky in it)
Russell's 6 year rye (took till 2/3 of the bottle being killed before this one lost some of its harsh edges)
Pegleg Porker 8 year (was a gift, but it's still young and shiny. The 12 year is fantastic though)

Thought it might be fun to see what everybody likes the most in bourbon. So, top 5, what is it? Daily drinker, then 4 that are favorites. Bourbon only, please.
    For me...
    Daily- Benchmark #8
    1- Weller Special Reserve
    2- Buffalo Trace
    3- Russells Reserve 10yr
    4- Eagle Rare

5th runner up--Wild Turkey 101 (for when I want a mixer that won't water down)

Tough one... I have to cheat a little because I alternate dailies when I drink bourbon. I go back and forth between local store picks of Elijah Craig small batch and Russell's 10 year.

Current favorites would be Old Forester 1920, Booker's 2018-01, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B518, and Stagg Jr. batch 11
