This woman is determined to have chickens at some point. I'm at peace with the fact that more birds are in my future.

More birds? What do you guys have now? I haven't seen any show up on the book of faces, but I'm not paying real close attention, either.

Gotta work on my phrasing. Just one - a bizarre little parakeet.

Aha, I see. Not exactly the same...

Do you guys own your own place? Or do you have an understanding landlord who'd let you put in a coop?

Little column A, little column B. My mom and stepdad bought a place in Portland in anticipation of them moving here once my mom retires from teaching. We're their tenants until they evict us in 3-5 years.

It probably isn't the best space to have chickens. The yard is pretty small and we're still getting to know the neighbors. It's in the cards for our next place though.

You said diapers I thought, "that's crazy" but pants? Now that makes sense.

If nothing else, it'd be worth it just for how funny it makes them run.

I'll finally have time tomorrow to get some maintenance done! and good weather to boot. Clean up any rust spots, neighbor helping with spark plugs and serpentine belt. and if i have time a whole host of other things.

Gonna troll Sunapee tomorrow morning and hopefully be slammin' some salmon. Then to Moms in the afternoon to help with some work on their front and back decks, which was my Mothers Day present. I'm sure she will make me something yummy for dinner too. Sunday is up in the air, I may fish for some of the day but I have to do water pumps in both my main and kicker motors before the trip Wed.

Did you get into some sand last year, or are they just due?

Just time. The kicker is real easy and it runs at barely above idle for likely hundreds of hours a season. It'll do 50 or 60 hours just next week. So I'll do it every season. The main hasn't been done since I owned the boat, I was told it was done the year prior to me owning it, but who knows. So this will be it's 3rd season, and it gets fairly heavy use so it's due.
