For the 3.5 market...TC is top notch as far as their process and fitment as they do a QC checklist of parts in the kit which you get to see in your kit for verification of everything. Burg is also a great contender although I know their customer service can be annoying and they dont offer any instructions for installing their kit so many utilize TC's website for the install instructions. Personally, I love the support that TC offers and how easy they are and willing to work with you for the money. If you want to save a few bucks, dirt king makes a solid product and I know a few who rock their stuff and its pretty solid and they too are responsive about their kits. Burg always gave me a hard time with questions and its weird as an engineering company that they dont make alot of documentation so you get all these "I think I know the spec, but Im not really sure shit" which urks me alot as a fellow engineer as how can you make a product that you dont even have real design numbers on file for? Regardless their product is solid though. With solo everything is a 50/50 crap shoot and as you have seen in the LT threads, many guys who order their kit have fitment issues to where they either modify their kits themselves or have to work with solo which solo is really weird about warrantying their shit if they arnt working on it. I know Tim at DMZ highly discourages them for those reasons as he has had to adjust many other kits to "fit." LSK makes some solid designs, but I know of three guys who had their LT and mid travel kits where they were off and had to have new kits sent. They stand by their products like solo, but the headache people have had sometimes would rather just get someone else's kit.

Long story short in the 3.5 game, TC, burg, and dirt king I would trust to install at home with minimal issue due to fitment compatibility.

The reason why I know about solo in regards to Tim at DMZ is cause I considered a 4.5 kit. I think most of the guys who were successful with the 4.5 kits had theirs installed at solo so they were forced to get it on right since they had both the vehicle and kit in their shop at the same time. If you went that route, I think solo would be quite expensive and from what I have heard they tend to be quite slow on certain things to where your forecasted delivery of install could be quite unpredictable. I think I heard somewhere that burg was considering making a "race" 4.5 kit, but dont know if that ever came to fruition. Regardless, many guys are hitting some serious shit with their 3.5 kits if they are linked in the rear. Its too bad that DTF isnt still around as his front end kit was arguably the king kong of front kits with the 6.5 kit he made and it was robust and fit pretty well.

Any idea what your rear plans would be for the truck...if linked...I would consider a 4.5 kit depending on your tire size.

I was thinking of finding a 1st gen v8 Tundra for the extra power (and v8 sound). Thinking that the rear would eventually get back halfed and linked so I was looking at the +4.5 in front just to make it commensurate. IDK, it's all kind of hypothetical at this point for a while anyways but I figured I would start doing my homework.

Looking at the cost of this stuff though, the thought of just getting something "close enough" on Race Dezert for nickels on the dollar seems like an inviting option at this point.

+6.5  that bish would be so wide!

Money comes and money goes. You can justify because you received a promotion. Therefore, you can rationalize it by giving yourself a gift to celebrate.
