That shot with the bk20, junglas and gso 10 is epic! Love the battle scars man, that's what those knives are designed for!

Thanks Jonny; that was an epic day, for sure! I had just cut down a few trees at the new house (15"+ Doug Firs and a Silver Pine), so I had a chopper "shootout" with the big 3, before I had scored the Behemoth and LC. The GSO-10 was definitely the best performer, followed by the Junglas and the Bundok (which was a little less-impressive than I had expected).

I had a few Bundoks and the edge is really thick from the factory. After thinning it out a bit, it was a formidable chopper! I modded a few of those Bundoks. They look great sandblasted with micarta handles.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Thanks fellas - I'm pretty stoked on it. Not really sure why I haven't owned a Field Knife prior to this one, I guess I never found a good deal on one and I have a few others that compete with the size/design (FF Leuku, S!K 4.7, Beckers, ESEEs, ZT0180 etc.). But none of them feature Natahn's kickass Delta 3V treatment! The handles are very well contoured and just melt into my palm swell perfectly. I love it.

I may need to reprofile the edge then. I think the scales make a big difference too; the hollow Hylon handles seem to transfer alot of the energy from the blade and into my hand, rather than "absorbing" it (?) like solid micarta slabs seem to.

Holy carp. I hit an email telling me the micarta version is back in stock.

I think they sold out again!!

Anyone else ever preorder from Blade HQ? I did about 17 days ago, it was the Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight. The knives have supposedly been in and out of stock already. I paid the $5 preorder fee already and no email or anything so far. Is this normal?

Nice knife! No, I onl/y bought one knife from them and it was quick. I did put my email to be notified when a knife was back in stock. It came and went with zero notice. I missed out.

Hmm, I guess I'll send them an email asking what happened. They already took some money so I don't know what's up.

Sometimes, demand outstrips supply and you’re left waiting for round two. Charging a fee seems like a rip tho.

It's not a rip if I end up getting one eventually since the overall cost isn't higher, I'm just wondering why I didn't get some sort of confirmation... I didn't think about the supply and demand part though, that makes sense.

Nice. How was the expo? What were some of the things that impressed you while you were there?
I wanted to go but had the annual GSMTR LC event to attend. Had a blast!

New daily carry... a new Buck knife that is disappointingly nowhere near the quality of the 20-year-old folder my dad gave me years ago. At least it's S30V.

Is that the 112 or 110? Looks badass nevertheless

501 Squire, actually. I typically carry around a Benchmade mini grip but I wanted something much more subtle and classic to go with work attire. Need to send the Benchmade back in for sharpening and service so I've kept this one on my belt lately.

I will be sending this one back in once the Benchmade comes back to tighten a few things back up. The blade is loose while closed and will open about 1/8" past the handle without any effort at all so I'm not 100% comfortable pocket carrying it which was pretty much the entire reason I bought it. If they handle that and it all works out, I'll probably put an order in for a 112 as well... the 110 is a no-go for me being around DC and not even wanting to tempt their stupid laws.
