Depends if your employer classifies it as a weapon or a tool. We make sure to reference them as tools so the HR folks don’t ban them from work.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
It happens....but it increases their value if there's blood on it, right? :D

Behemoth Chopper bit me good on our first date.

The GSO-10 also got me pretty good after a long day of chopping.

There have been MANY more knicks and cuts, but these are the only ones I have recorded "evidence" of.

Same situation here - she knows I have a knife addiction, but not enough of a problem to ever jeopardize our finances or living situation. Work hard, play hard! Enjoy your money and your life - that's what it's there for!!!!

I recently scored my first CPK Field Knife (FK1) for a pretty good deal.

D3V, TeroTuf with Black Micarta liners, which are a perfect (and rare) combo for this blade. All go and some show.

Fantastic design and size for a utilitarian blade like this. I don't know why I hadn't picked on up yet, but it is a perfect in-between blade for the EDC and HDFK. This will likely be my new all-arounder camping/hiking blade. Just a perfect size and blade profile for it.

That shot with the bk20, junglas and gso 10 is epic! Love the battle scars man, that's what those knives are designed for!

Thanks Jonny; that was an epic day, for sure! I had just cut down a few trees at the new house (15"+ Doug Firs and a Silver Pine), so I had a chopper "shootout" with the big 3, before I had scored the Behemoth and LC. The GSO-10 was definitely the best performer, followed by the Junglas and the Bundok (which was a little less-impressive than I had expected).

I had a few Bundoks and the edge is really thick from the factory. After thinning it out a bit, it was a formidable chopper! I modded a few of those Bundoks. They look great sandblasted with micarta handles.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Thanks fellas - I'm pretty stoked on it. Not really sure why I haven't owned a Field Knife prior to this one, I guess I never found a good deal on one and I have a few others that compete with the size/design (FF Leuku, S!K 4.7, Beckers, ESEEs, ZT0180 etc.). But none of them feature Natahn's kickass Delta 3V treatment! The handles are very well contoured and just melt into my palm swell perfectly. I love it.

I may need to reprofile the edge then. I think the scales make a big difference too; the hollow Hylon handles seem to transfer alot of the energy from the blade and into my hand, rather than "absorbing" it (?) like solid micarta slabs seem to.

Anyone else ever preorder from Blade HQ? I did about 17 days ago, it was the Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight. The knives have supposedly been in and out of stock already. I paid the $5 preorder fee already and no email or anything so far. Is this normal?

Nice knife! No, I onl/y bought one knife from them and it was quick. I did put my email to be notified when a knife was back in stock. It came and went with zero notice. I missed out.

Hmm, I guess I'll send them an email asking what happened. They already took some money so I don't know what's up.

Sometimes, demand outstrips supply and you’re left waiting for round two. Charging a fee seems like a rip tho.

It's not a rip if I end up getting one eventually since the overall cost isn't higher, I'm just wondering why I didn't get some sort of confirmation... I didn't think about the supply and demand part though, that makes sense.
