MOAB!!! Who's been and can tell me some cool places to explore. Plan to overland from Oregon leaving July 3rd and return to Oregon on the 7th.

My plan was to camp around Elko, then spend 2 nights in Moab and camp in winnemucca on the return trip.

Willow Springs Road is a decent but kinda busy BLM area to camp in. Lots of space for a single vehicle. Klondike Bluffs is a little more remote and quiet. Then again, there are a lot of little hideaway spots around moab for the more adventurous.

Quesadilla Mobilla is a good food truck. Moab Brewery is pretty good, and their Especial is a tasty mexican lager.

Can you camp anywhere? Or just designated camping areas. I know around my parts you can just go anywhere in the mountains and camp if you wanted.

Willow Springs is open BLM area. Klondike is for the most part too. Just happen to be decently popular areas. Great mountain biking at Klondike too!

There's also Zax Pizza. Unlimited Pizza Bar!

Also, stay away from the town of Moab as much as you can. Traffic is ridiculous going out of town at 9am and coming back into town around 5.

Green River about an hour North West has cheaper gas if you need to refill on the way. Also a great mexican place called La Veracruzana.

The sketchy gas station at Crescent junction where you turn off the 70 to Moab has like $6 gas right now since they have you in a pinch point.
