Also word around the water cooler as of last week is that they're going to be bringing back the e-commerce dept later this summer, laying 90% of the team off earlier this year was a ploy to get rid of the guy that was in charge of it (he was "forcefully retired" last month)

yeah it was pretty fucked, but I guess in their defense they did shut down the ecommerce dept and website since January and keeping that crew around for the past 4 months would have been pointless, me and the one other guy have had little to do in that time as it is.

But yeah they could have just transitioned the head guy out and continued on with the end goal plan but I don't know if they knew about what they wanted to do at the time.

 

There was one crappy worker/dude that worked in here that I was on the verge of going postal on anyway so I'm glad he got let go, fuck 'em.

The other 2 I've kept in touch with and they've moved on to better things anyway

The rental 4Runner is in need of an oil change. Dealer said theyll just swap it with a turd gen instead. Guess I get to experience what all the ruckus is about.
