No. Actual rust coming out from spot weld areas. Already took it to the dealer. Waiting on Toyota Rep's response. But I do know what you're referring to.

    Oh God this again...

Do a little searching on this site, It's "rail dust" or what ever you want to call it,[/QUOTE]

No, not "This again..." I know what rail dust is. I've owned several white vehicles. What I have, unfortunately, is rusting spot welds on my truck bed.

Oh that's not good. Crazy how such an expensive truck can do that so early. I really wish they had put a better clear coat on these trucks. It seems as though they thought of everything else (exterior wise) except a good clear.

    Sorry, I assumed...
You mean the fenders and/or the tailgate, not the bed. Right?
What does the dealership say about it?

    No worries.
Here's a link to a thread I made when I first noticed the rust.

Got a check engine light and no traction control light this morning leaving for work. Limped back home and checked the gas cap then disconnected the battery to reset the code with no luck. Waiting for dealership to call back; had to leave a message with the service department! :annoyed:Disconnected the ground; maybe I should try positive cable?

Did you check your vin for the crankshaft position sensor recall-not that traction control has any affect-or check with a obd2 scanner

From what I read some people say this is a waste and some people say it is beneficial, either way I don't care, it gave me something to do and it looks good lol!

Ron, have you checked fuses to see if one them blew? Also, you might want to check speed and traction control sensors and associated wiring connectors by the wheels where you had some work done on your suspension.
