Picked up a camper shell today for the pro. Been looking for what feels like forever. Makes the truck a lot more family friendly with a wife and kids to haul around.

Looks great! I have been looking for a used matching black shell for a couple of years and nothing ever comes up. Have found tons of white and silver shells but it seems nobody ever sells black caps.

 

I have a new mission now haha. I’ll keep you posted on black in CA.

I had to drive 500 miles for a used black cap. That was a couple years ago though

 

I have found a few that were a few hundred miles away but the high used price plus the cost of time and gas it would have been cheaper to buy new. It is frustrating when I see white and silver shells listed almost every week for $500.

Update: Drove it to work today and I could barely tell the difference. Some people said that the drone would be louder, but maybe I need to drive with the windows down and see if it is louder or not?

 

I wouldn't think it would really make that much of any difference. Unless you cut other stuff out too
