Talked with Blackstone Labs this morning. They let me know they have received my sample and should get me the analysis back on Friday. Once I get the analysis, I'll schedule with Toyota to figure out what's up with the engine.

They've taken quite a bit of abuse. The center xfer case skid is bowed upwards on one side and bent upwards in the middle. But, they just keep taking the hits. I've taken them all off and not had issues with putting them back on, even all bent. I would buy them again.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I have an aluminum IFS skid, and was considering doing steel for the rest, but would love the weight savings / corrosion resistance of aluminum. Good to see people putting them to the test.

Same reasons I went with aluminum. Save the weight and I'm at the beach a lot so I wanted the corrosion resistance.

When I ordered them Satin at Pelfreybilt told me as long as I'm not belly-dragging my truck across every rock on the trail or doing hard core competitive crawling they're just fine. And she was right. I've taken some hard hits and they're doing great.

    Edit: spelling

Great no know. Thanks my friend. Truck looks great. I'm headed in a similar direction with mine (2012 double cab). Thinking 255s next, then cap and high clearance rear, and I will have the white version of your truck haha.

Blackstone said there may not have been enough miles on the oil sample I sent them. I heard the Caterpillar plant here in SA will do an analysis so I'll see if I can run a sample over to them. The original sample to Blackstone had about 1k on it. Currently there's about 3500 on the oil. After I get the results, over to the dealer.
