just recently noticed that my DRL no longer come on when I turn to that first click. They work on the second and third clicks. No mods to lights and they’ve worked fine before. I’ve looked in settings and there’s a check box for DRL but I think that’s if you want them always on and either way it changes nothing.

It’s not a huge deal and I’ll have them look at it on my next service but thought I might be missing something?

I don’t believe it was on but I’ll look at that when I get off work.

Have you done any electrical mods at all? I tried using the overhead dome light full-time power lead to run a dash cam, and it messed with the DRL’s. Go figure...

Ok, so I know one day someone else will search this same thing as me. Dumb guy I am, well not so much. But looking at the fuses first glance and seen nothing. The little box has a drl relay, replaced that. Nothing fixed. Come to find out there is a drl fuse in the big box. It’s a 10amp, I must of looked over it 4 times. But that is the cause of the issue. It’s funny because I took it to Toyota because I couldn’t figure it out, they tried telling me it’s because of my Switch-Pros and I did something and the ecu needed replacing and it wouldn’t be covered under warranty. That’s what made me really look at my fuses again.

I wouldn't go back to that dealership again. A good tech would have looked up the wiring diagram and checked what fuse powered the drl. You do have to ask yourself what caused the fuse to blown. What else is on the circuit that is causing more than 10 amps to flow?

Nothing on it. My switch pros is ran off my ingnition for the power. But I think it was just a freak accident, can’t figure out why it happened. But I agree, I’m not taking it to that dealership again. Still amazed they tried saying that my Switch-Pros would void anything.

Is there one fuse for driver and one for passenger side or one fuse for both? Only my driver side decided to stop working

The fuse is for both. Then a relay in the smaller cover to the side of the main fuse box.

I'd keep an eye on that fuse. Something could be making it pop (like an intermittent short or drawing over 10 amps).

Thanks. Then it must be the LEDs themselves since it’s only the driver’s side

My driver’s side on my 2019 died and the whole headlight assembly was replaced. Pro Headlight was special order for the dealership and took over a week to arrive.

My driver's side DRL stopped working about a month ago. I'm taking off the pro grill and raptor lights (not spliced into DRL) and the HID kit before I take it in to avoid any drama, and also get the recall on the radar done. Hopefully they don't try to blame it on the dash cam or the switch pro with the light bar hooked to it.

You may want to rewire your switch pro to pull power straight from the battery. That thing can draw a lot of power and can overload the circuit your tapped into

Should clear that up. The one wire ran to the ignition is just a trigger wire to tell the system to come on. The Switch-Pros has a direct thick battery wire running from the unit to the batttery for its power.

Interesting I’m running HIDs and a switchpro as well. Can’t imagine either would have an effect of the DRL LED but yeah putting in the stock bulbs will reduce dealer drama.

I could definitely see a dealership from any brand blaming HIDs due to heat (although not a real thing) or some other nonsense. Switchpro or Raptor lights, not so much. I did have my Raptor lights installed when the dealer replaced mine. Not spliced into the DRL wire.

DRL on my driver’s side headlight is out again. They just replaced the whole headlight 3 months and 3k miles ago. The whole truck only has 5200 miles on it. Anyone have any thoughts as to a potential cause before it goes to the dealership again?
