You pressure test that, I usually take a glove over each end and use compressed air in the bung and spray soapy water around the bung welds, bubbles are vacuum leaks

 

I hope he did it all in one swipe. Doing a bunch of small welds is gonna mean a lot of leaks.

 

He had a friend do it, but yeah, I usually do it in thirds so theres only a couple leak points unless I suddenly get the palsy haha

 

When we build air cylinders at work, its best to cap the ends in one continuous bead. If a good welder does it that way, it should only leak at the point that you started and stopped on, if it does at all.

Its probably why mig welds arent the best choice in pressurized scenarios. Tig or nothing.

 

Thankfully this will just be subjected to vacuum, but it is always good to prepare it for a bit more

 

Could always flexseal on top of it.

Working on my bumper and winch.

 

My gas regulator was acting up so it was blowing like a breeze, he did about four passes and ground the welds down in between.

Just found out a couple days ago via home test but we're not making any announcements until after her doctor's appt in a couple weeks

 

I hear those are actually pretty fast for a minivan
