Alpine MRP-F240 4 channel amp and SPR-57LS 5x7 component speakers

These both were taken out of my 2001 Tacoma. They're great sounding speakers, and definately better than the factory speakers, I'm just something of an audiophile, so I'm in the process of revamping the entire stereo system!

The speakers are in great shape. One of the X-overs is missing the screws (I'm still looking for them, but don't count on me finding them), but that's the only "problem" with them. They fit right into the factory mounting plates on my 01. Here's a link to the specs on them...

The Amp is also in great shape, with just a few slight chips in the paint from being mounted under the seat. You can bridge this amp to just power the fronts, or run it in multi channel fo get more power to your rear speakers as well. There are no problems with this amp and it never got overheated running under the passenger seat of my truck. here's a link to the specs of the amp...

I would be all over it, but I do not need fronts. I already have seperates in all 4 doors. LMK if you will do the amp.

 

is this good gear? idk how to wire this stuff. and would i be able to just get a sub and have a good system?

 

I can't say about the speakers, but I had the same amp in my 97 and I loved it. Nice and compact, fits under the seat no problem, never had any problem with it.

 

how hard is it to wire up? how much would it cost to have someone put it in?

 

call a professional shop and ask, I would not attemp to install yourself unless you have done it before and you know what you are doing. I am getting 6 speakers(2 front, 2 rear, 2 tweters, and 2 xovers) Alpine fronts with components and JL rears for $125. It's worth it to have someone experienced install, I have done it before in my old truck, but its time consuming and I'd rather pay the money, my time is worth more than that...

 

Speakers are still for sale! I actually forgot about them until I found the them all boxed up and ready to ship. I'll have to double check on the amp, but I'm pretty sure I still have it as well.
