They don’t fit a Spey rod, but they might get you on the cover of a magazine. @macdadmorgan likes em.

I can see the utility if you fish as much as Morgan does. For me they just stay in rod tubes. Though hopping from spot to spot for winter steelhead in the snow/ salt I’d much rather have the fully enclosed than on the hood with suction cups like i see up here getting bathed in salty road grime.

To each his (or her) own.

Oh nice, well, don't care about that. Just want to run between the spots to catch fish. Not make magazines.

Fished with a guide who had one of these. Really nice and hold quite a few rods and they sell foam for spey rods. But expensive. Like the design better than the tubes too.

Things to get me in over my head
Totally the only reason I run mine:jerkoff:

Not in love with my rod vault, however love having 3 different rods rigged. Most of the time I usually am carrying two rigs with different setups, wether it be steelhead, trout, or salt. In the winter around here you need a 6wt with a streamer, and a nymph rod rigged. I never know when I can fish, and when I can it isn't for long so being rigged gives me more time on the water. I am going to look into Riversmith for my next set up.

I swung back over to give props to GFC for more great customer service. My 'rear tube' must have corroded because I couldn't slide the pins to open the tent. Graeme sent me a new one immediately - no questions asked. Damn. That's good.

I do live in Vancouver and drove back and forth to the interior - so TONS of rain and snow. No questions asked - sent me a replacement.

Re: the lighting system. I paid for one from the beginning as well. I got tired of waiting for GFC. So, I've got all the parts and just need a free weekend to start working on it.

Zamp is extremely overpriced for what you get. Lots of other good quality options out there for less money.

Talked to the guys at gfc and saw their new products at overland expo. The new tent material looks pretty nice, makes me kind of jealous. Also LP6 mounts and the antenna mount looks pretty good.

Are GFCs that are being built now have the new tent material? Or is it a future plan?

Hey guys. We have a small sewing operation out of Santa Cruz and have tailored our insulated window covers to fit the Go Fast Camper. We mostly stick to the Sprinter/Transit van market, but since our family has a GFC on order for our Tacoma, we might as well get busy while we wait. Currently, we're only offering them for the Tacoma, although we have measurements for a 1st Gen Tundra, we're waiting to see what models are compatible. We're have the rear and front window covers for sale and have measurements/plans to possibly sell magnetic bug screens in the future. Not sure if folks are wanting full insulation sets for the hard shell sides or not, but that maybe an option down the road. I'll post the link to our webstore below and you can read about our products if you're interested. Thanks. -Garrett, Strawfoot Handmade.
