super weird.

But if its on the passenger side, Id guess the pump's bearing is going out likely. Just a shot in the dark though.

but it basically drives and handles pretty much still like the day I drove it off the lot new

is that pump bearing behind the dash?? or whatever silver tubes are coming in through the engine compartment

I am clueless on most of this so treat me like an amateur, get the ruler out if you have to

 

You should post up a pic of how they look and were there rubbing.

 

No its on the AC pump which is under the Power steering pump in the engine bay.

 

Nearly finished my winch install version 2.0 by way of a Superwinch Talon 9.5 and some Customsplice Diamondback line.

 

could it be a vibration from that coming down the tubes inside?

the A/C seemed to work as good as can be on the freeway with a record heat of 95 here today
i just don't know what happens to the A/C system once you turn it off but leave the fan blowing to get every last bit of cool air lol

put in the BP driver reward card and the screen said 'use 0.34 gal?' (or something like that)
i said i am saving some money today!
$2.81 per/gal for the 91 octane after savings
went to Wendys and got a 50c frosty!

last time I was at BP it was only about 8c discount so I passed
perhaps they give an extra 25c annually, i dunno when I signed up for it

Yeaaah someone told me. What's funny is the other screws gave me zero trouble, but those two were just corroded pretty badly. Time to keep my eye out for some jis drivers.

Anyway, there is debate about whether it is designed to cam out so as to control torque applied during tightening. Personally, I think it is just applied in the wrong situations. It was an improvement over the slotted type, but designers just use it where they shouldn't, and we pay the price.

I've always had decent luck loosening ones I know are going to be over tightened by using a impact driver. If you haven't tried one of these, I highly recommend you get one. Before you hit it, twist clockwise, then smack it. Make sure you are also pressing hard in towards the screw.

I wonder if that is the same Thompson that was behind the gun. This could get messy. Hitler will probably try to paint me as the bad guy too.

I could tell they were going to be trouble when I saw how rusty they were, no way I was putting them back in. I ended up just drilling the heads off and extracting the bodies with a needle nose.

 

Glad you were able to get them out.

 

And, I've found my #2 Vessel JIS works great for anything #2 Phillips that I encounter around the house.
