I was thinking about mounting the on/off version of this as well, did you just run extra wire from the pos terminal straight to the switch in cab then back to old terminal connections?
Anything else in line before/after the blue sea switch?
    Also what awg wire?

Just checking here, but do bypasses "clicking" sound similar to a loose bolt shifting/clunking? I recently went to bypasses in the rear and I feel like the truck sounds way shittier now. Maybe its amplifying through the bedcage? Currently the compression tubes are all fully open.

I've seen superbumps being used with a spacer.

Well with the self clearance is it a problem anymore? I need to either sledge mine or just let them bang the fuck out of the fenderwells.

My kit self-clearanced the upper arms until I chopped the fenders off. I have superbumps without spacers.
It didn’t seem to be a problem though once it did it’s work.

You could install bypasses and they would slow down the compression stroke before you hit the end of your bump.

I’m looking at picking up a built 1st Gen Tacoma this summer.

Preferably 4wd but 2wd is ok too. Needs to have an LT kit up front and SUA in the rear. $15k is my budget.

Does anyone have leads on trucks for sale besides what’s on Race Dezert?

I wouldnt mind seeing some photos of what your stuff looks like. I would really love to tub my fenderwells completely so I dont have to worry about slamming at full compression for big hits.

Dang man going back to the roots? I think I remember you had a solid build on TTORA, but not sure if it was only a second gen at the time.

I'm going to guess Kings. Years ago I was watching a Barstow race standing next to Brett King and he said he could identify a King shod car a mile away by the clicking of the bypass tubes. He was not joking. My Foxes are quiet. I drove my buddies full cage King shod Tacoma and thought the back of the truck was falling off. It's normal unfortunately and it covers other noises you should be worried about.

That TTORA build was a 2nd Gen Tacoma. I do miss that truck but I prefer the light weight 1st Gens and they are easier to stay with my budget.

Yes it is pretty normal. You can YouTube search videos of bypass clicking to confirm it is what you are hearing if you want.

I have the oem radiator core support still, but the inner fenders are cut at the cab.
The battery, fuse box, intake, vsc module, and washer tank are in the oem location as well.

If you’re just looking to tub the fenders, @nate232 may have some good pics of smps work to clear his 35’s

Check offer up in your area. There’s always tons of project trucks for sale on there. I know Cali is a hot bed for prerunners but you’ll probably find some in TX on OfferUp.

Worth a shot if you haven’t already looked
