This was the same storm cell before it crossed over into Indiana. It is that time of the year here in the mid-west.My brother gets in to chasing storms. This one didn't interest him to much when I sent the pictures to him.

I like watching feral cats go into my live trap better. :) They just cannot resist a sardine in soybean oil. LOL!

New tires went on! Woohoo! I don't do any crazy offroading (yet?) but I do explore FS roads and backcountry areas when I'm out flyfishing or accessing backpacking trailheads. Was worried they'd be "alot" louder than the stock tires but they're pretty darn quiet to me, so that has me happy. Clazzios got delivered last night, so hopefully I'll be installing them this evening.wheel.jpg

not bashing or stirring the pot....what intake setup would you recommend over this? I am in the planning stages of mods to add to my 1 month old truck and weighing out options on what routes to go. Thanks in advance! Any others feel free to chime in on this, i will continue to read all the other threads to see which are better than others per situations.

I’d just keep the stock cold air intake with stock paper filter. No aftermarket intakes have shown better filtration nor measurable hp gains on a dyno.

I have the K&N blackhawk CAI, I love it. It has a nice aggressive sound, looks great and a very small HP increase. I've always had one on my tacos and I must say the it sounds the best on the 3.5s IMO.

Go here and click on additional details, shows dyno and proof of hp gains, better air flow and throttle response.

There actually is, it's minimal at best but it does. Look on K&N's webpage, I also noticed a tad bit better throttle response.

    Here yah go

Not pictured - weathertech floor mats and bed mat. Pictured - cut a couple of 2x6s for the raised "platform" and hooked up chains to hold the tailgate up. Loaded a pool table to take out to west Texas. Had it for 3 weeks and will just about double my mileage this weekend, muuuuch more useful (but a different kind of fun) than the Mustang was...loving this truck!

Sport scoop hood installed last week. This is an aftermarket hood with OEM scoop parts. Local shop painted it to match. Cost ended up around $900. Color match is great, still needs final wetsanding and compounding.

I’ve seen that, but keep in mind the dyno tests variance is often +/- 5% from run to run

They are a company that's been around a long time and they guarantee the increase give or take a small variance. Given that and my experience with them over the years I feel like I can concur with their testing (based soley on my experience). It all comes down to the drivers needs/wants, it seems like @Malyons83 wants to purchase a CAI so I am just giving him some published info showing/guaranteeing hp and better air flow.

The worst mod I have ever done to my 06 Tacoma was the TRD CAI!
It looked Awesome! (When you opened the hood) But barely if any performance improvement.
But the obnoxious noise it made when you got on the gas was F'd up!

Never again would I do a CAI on these trucks! Not worth it IMHO.

I removed all badges and stickers from my '18 Sport and never looked back. I think it looks great and so do a lot of other random people I meet out and about. I like it. Nuff said for me.
