Looking for some local knowledge.

Considering regearing my 3rd gen to 5.29 ratio. For those of you that did it, did you have someone install it or did you do it yourself? Any reputable shops that you would recommend in the salt lake area to install and about how much?

Contacted cruiser outfitters but they aren’t installing right now. Considering driving to rogue to have it done but if I can go more local I would do that.

 

If you want a riding partner, I'm always down to ride bikes!

 

Have you thought about going to Nitro Gears and have them do the install?

 

Yeah. Didn’t want to do the 10 hour drive up there since I used to live in Seattle but I guess that’s a good option to consider.

 

I haven't had it done but the popular go to Toyota guy around here is Geoffrey Beers. You can reach out to him on facebook and see what he can do. He's one of the few that's allowed to touch my truck haha

 

That's what I have considered doing. I think they can do the install a hell lot faster and are proficient at it, considering they do it all the time and it is their gears.

 

What do you like to ride? I lean to mostly gravity these days. Spending about 3 nights a week up at I street. I rock a 2019 Tan Firebird 29er

 

I generally ride trail/all mountain stuff. Im not afraid of gnar, but after a few good wrecks, Im still getting my confidence back. I can handle Whole Enchilada and Fruita area trails just fine though

 

Nice to see MTN bikers on here. I've been researching bikes and looking to get into it. But also very overwhelmed. And also budgeted to something else right now (not my truck). :/ I'll have to hit y'all up sometime when I get serious about buying if y'all don't mind.
