Dude I wanted to put Dakars on my single cab 2.7 prerunner now I’m scared

 

who makes the fender flares? are they direct bolt on or do you have to trim fender material?

 

Dakars are fine. these are Procomp springs. altho people have reported removing one of the springs from the Dakars for the single cab to "even it out"

 

OP, you think yours is bad -



I just finished installing my OME Dakar's yesterday. We'll see how much they settle cause I too don't want all this rake.

You've got more rake than the OP and I?

 

All Pro Expos will give you 4" of rear lift without any weight in the back, but they'll be stiff (they're designed to hold a constant 300lbs or so)

Dakars with an AAL installed in them will give you 3" easily

Not sure what rear shocks you're running but make sure they can handle a 3" lift, I don't know of any that can safely handle 4" unless they're custom. If they aren't long enough they'll get ruined in short order

It's like it's perpetually braking at high speed

Lifted the front, haha. There was a period of two weeks where I had AllPro leafs in the back, and the stock suspension on the front.

 

The possibilities are endless!

 

I'm curious also, being in the market for new ones...

 

Op. Did they ever settle? Or did the issue come from shackles? I just ordered the same 3.5” leafs from 4WP and now im scared I’m going to receive 5” of rear lift and massive rake.

Yeah returned them immediately. To even fit it’s a struggle. And once on. It’s way over 3.5” of lift. And harsh. Got old man emu leafs instead. Should have gone there in the first place.
