Block kit in rear, leveling kit in front?

I have a 2017 Offroad, it's my daily driver. I want to get a bit of height and run bigger tires but also maintain OEM suspension. If I want more height can I do a 2 inch block in the rear and a 2 inch leveling kit in the front? Does that make sense?

 

2 in front 1.5 rear if you want it level. 2 in rear to keep with factory rake. Both type of blocks in rear will require longer shocks

 

I don't really care about it being level in all honesty. I'm really just looking for more height. I wanted to go new suspension and get bilstien 5100s but my dealer said if I did that it would void the warranty I am paying for and start some other complications. SO he suggested I go for a block kit if I want height. Any recommendations or advice based on what I just said?

 

Low range off road has a 3/2 level kit with diff drop. Sits completely level and you don't need longer shocks.

That sounds like the way to go if it's as good as you say it is. Would it give me noticeably higher ride height?

There are several different kits on the market to accomplish what you want. But I've used LRO on 3 different vehicles I've owned and always maintained factory ride with no issues to other components. They include Diff drop, skid drop and new bump stops, most others don't. The front spacer install differently than others also.

 

I am happy with the 2" front and 2" back, for me it seems to be the right amount

 

That's a sweet looking truck. I know for a fact, that as a daily driver that I certainly don't need a lift, but for looks alone, your's look "right" for me. Did the tires add any added "lift", I tried to zoom into get the size, but no luck on this old PC - Thanks Bill in MA

 

What size tires are those?

 

Lifting with spacers will void the same exact parts of your warranty that shocks and springs will. No more no less.

It is a dally driver, however it remains comfortable. Tires do add a small amount lift, I am using Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70/17,

I've seen trucks with a 3" lift and more, sure they look really nice and sometimes I want to lift my truck even more,
but for me, really 2" is good!!
The Nitto Grapplers remain almost as quiet as the original tires, to me that is a important.
I also understand that going more than 3" on your lift, there will be other issues that will affect the truck, plenty of threads
in Tacoma World about that.
One thing I would say, I think I am paying a little more in gas with the current setup than before. How much I don't want to know.

 

Did you have to do CMC and pinch weld? If not. do they rub?

 

No rubbing, and I did not have to CMC or modified the inner fenders.
If I had gone with 285/85/17 with the TRD wheels, for sure I would have had.
Also, It seems that some rims are more forgiving than others. I don't know if it has to do
with +/- off set and all that complicated staff.

 

2/1 lift. Perfect for me. Sits perfect 1” of rake.

 

Nice looking trucks!! How about 3” spacer plus 3” lift block? Or will that not work on a 2019?

 

Moto-Fab makes a good 2' block for the rears and I use these with the Toytec Shocks for the rear. Your ride will be like stock with the added 2"s. I also installed the Boss 2.0 coils in the front though.

 

LRO 3/2. Total lift ground to bottom of fenders was 2 inches all the way around.
