Food for thought, there is also a 6th gear for the throttle control as well.:notsure:
I’ve been thinking the 6th gear was being referred to the over-drive on the Auto.

    Nope, OD is 5th gear.

Shift scheduling says nothing about a 6th gear, nor does trans gear ratios on the TRD cal, but you are right, in the throttle pedal mapping there is a 6th gear reference ... WTF?

RPM and Speed are used to *estimate* gear (as I understand it). All cals are setup for 6 gears in the throttle mapping.

No shit.... just opened up my OEM NA cal and sure enough it has a 6th gear for the throttle pedal mapping lol. But no other mention of 6th in the spots that i have found that i mentioned it showed up in the TRD cal.

Some tables are vestigial from a "master cal"

There is also a table that has individual cylinder fuel trims, and has 8 cylinders in the table.

just like how the TRD cals have 2 MAF sensor scales, or how the IS-F has like..4 MAF scales

Haha, yup, lots of take cookie cutter programming, and make it work for this application. I cant blame toyota for doing it, makes sense!

Just an update. I have an 8% hill that I climb on my commute. If I go under 60, I'll. Have to downshift as it'll loose steam and eventually lug bad. After the update, 52mph in 6th and it didn't drop one bit.

Strange thing happened today. A code tripped 2 days ago and upon leaving work it was gone. No battery disconnect or anything. Never had that occur.:D

    My shit is all stock.
Sounds like there's quite a few tables that we do not have access to / can not see with the HP tuners setup. What does one need to do to be able to see everything?
Do we beg Chris @HPTuners ?

I will soon when @crashnburn80 can connect his tester to try and retrieve. But it came on when I was driving gentle. I noticed it was gone after driving really aggressively on my way home today. ?? Its gone, system is great, and I still just am amazed how smooth your tune is. After a week of 40+ miles a day I still have a quarter tank!!! I filled up Sunday! Unheard of. I've spent countless hours idling through traffic, loaded with tools. Full on rev outside, rain and head winds. This is a VERY significant change in mileage. Going on a road trip tmrw. Will check steady highway gains. I'd say I've gained 2-3 conservative mpg. With a lift and blower to get stock mileage is a huge gain. Someone knows how to tune these trucks. Wink wink. JH you're the man!

You will never see everything, mostly because we have to figure it out the hard way. There is no openly available reference info available from any manufacturers. We do our best to provide what is useful.

Has anyone had issues with their obd2 port shorting out? I must have a loose wire or pin in the connector because I get intermittent power issues.
Have not attempted to write any files to the ECU until I figure this out.
